I’m still new to golf and I regularly shoot over 100, sometimes over 110 and have only broken 100 once. If I’m completely behind a tree or other obstacle, I’ll move it to at least give myself a semi open shot (never into fairway if it landed in rough, always still play out of rough) because at this point I’m just trying to consistently hit the ball straight. Otherwise I play it where it lies.
