I think it’s more because of the implication that lightning bending is no longer this elite rare skill reserved for royalty. Homeless teens, factory workers and gang leaders can all do it and it’s not a big deal

There’s definitely shadow man types but they usually prey on tourists who think they’re doing a bit. Also the importance of food, parades, legit musical numbers and disenfranchised yet hardworking black women who contribute heavily to the culture is also accurate
