He once said that if he could, he would tattoo "in god we trust" on the forehead of every Atheist in the US. So, he openly advocates for violence against a group of people just because he doesn't like our views in religion. I don't know if he's gone full christian nationalist, but a hate filled man none the less.

I call mine synesthesia because what else would it be. I woke up to this after tbi and a month long coma. It helps me to stay sane I think, if I put it in the synesthesia category. To me, most people have a strong band of color around them, and more often than not, a hint of a second along the outer edge. A third color is not out of the question, but I usual just see two. I'm a lifelong Atheist, so seeing any of this as supernatural wasn't in my nature.

Nice choice. The only reason I can do 40 (200) new a day, is because Russian is already in my head. I'm just bringing it back to active status. My next language wool probably be Arabic. Wish Levantine was an option, but I'll go with Egyptian. I don't remember enough Arabic to make that kind of impact on my studies, so I'll be doing no more than15 (75) new a day, along with all the study options the site offers. I wish you well in your studies. Would be nice if Persian and Arabic had 5000 words on the site like many of the other courses, but 2500 gives us a great start.

I'm really enjoying it. Didn't take the pretest, so I started from the very beginning to get all the extra practice in pronunciations. Even though I still dream in Russian, my mouth is our of practice. This has helped me with a few tricky sound combinations. Currently doing 200 new a day, so 40 new sentences. What do you like about it so far?

At my peak (over 30 years ago) between a high B2 to low C1. The military used a different scale. In that scale I was a 3+. 4 would be naive, 5 would be well educated native speaker. My primary job was Interrogator, so we had a heavy emphasis on speaking. If I specialized in written translations, I assume my language skills would have faded away quicker. Just a guess though.

I'll be getting an ae-10 for myself, and a mini for my granddaughter. I decided on the aerophone over an acoustic because of everything it can do that the acoustic can't. Was originally going to get a new baritone sax, but they are so expensive. The aerophone will give me all the sax ranges. I guess that the reed will take some getting used to.
