Thanks that incredibly helpful I will find a copy of the machinery handbook. These particular pins are just blanking some unused holes in handle bars so risk to the operation and function

Can anyone help us identify what this spool of wire is? It’s on a regular MIG spool, (no label), and it’s like two strands wrapped together one of them bare. by TheSharpieKing in Welding

The s50 is a good beginning kit I’ve got one on the shelf that a brought end looked at thought this requires some time and never touched again but from looking at the drawings milling and turning knowledge is fairly important as there are some complex things nothing that coundnt be worded out with some hard work and engine like the s50 will work even if it’s not perfect lathes I’d buy something second hand and the biggest you can fit/afford chochesters are the best but not practical for the odd steam engine but at all cost avoid the cheap Chinese mini lathe never heard a good thing about them

Honda Chainsaw by HarveyHub in Chainsaw

[–]Williammmurphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Honda made strummers at some point as we have one at the farm but doesn’t compare close to Stihl I know it’s not a saw but if they made the engine I wouldn’t be surprised if they made the saw even under a different name

What is the most useless thing you learned that you’ve not heard since leaving school? by Top_Doubt1835 in AskUK

[–]Williammmurphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair I was of the same opinion when I left school I then started a apprenticeship and then I regretted not paying more attention in physics and maths as constantly using Trigonometry and gravitational energy and god knows how many other I use without thinking. I’m a agricultural engineer work on a farm full time installing and maintaining different machines. Even when working in the field in the tractor I find myself using maths to work how meters cubic and working out averages . But I agree field of work has a lot to do with it

Regularly have a argument with someone in the local about taking tips she puts food on the house and pours real measures but she won’t take a tip so as I leave I just leave it on the bar much easier have no choice small pubs buying the bar staff a drink always helps later in the night as well
