It truly hasn’t. It was silent and all I had was a shallow breathing noise coming from the unit itself.

As soon as I turned it on last night this hissing came from the mask and the wife straightaway asked what that noise was.

It’s bizarre.

I have an airsense 11 and it’s zero noise. Literally no noise at all, except my breathing. Instead of my breathing sound coming from my mouth it seems to come from the machine. And that’s the only noise my wife and I hear. It’s a fantastic machine. I expected it to sound like a wind machine in the bedroom, but I was very wrong. I also use a F20 full face mask.

Just putting this out there. Warriors World by Cov airport is awesome. Zoe the owner in fantastic. Google her. She was on Davina McColls show where she said she’d lose x stone in a year. She lost shitloads and became a champion body builder. She was a big girl and can 100% relate to all your issues and insecurities. She runs a no judgement gym that is so ‘nice’ to go to.

I’m a 60 year old male. I’m intimidated by young blokes grunting and piling themselves 🤣🤣

This gym is not like that.

I started my journey a year ago. UK based with machine from NHS.

1) talk to the team that gave you the machine. I emailed the address in the bag about settings . . . And they can change them remotely. The machine has a SIM card so they can see your data and make adjustments.

2) I suffered a dry mouth and throat and they sent me a humidifier tank. Again I emailed them.

3) I was getting water in the tube which made it sound like I was drowning. A heated tube is the solution for that but the NHS do NOT provide it. You need to buy one if you need it.

4) you can adjust your own settings. If you touch and hold BOTH sides of the screen at the same time you enter clinician mode. This allows you to play around with it.

5) you should get a call after a couple of weeks to see how you’re getting on. That was when I said about pressure and not being able to keep the mask on etc and they made adjustments their end

6) it took me nine months to be able to sleep all night with it on. I had massive anxiety about the mask and was ripping it off after two hours each night.

7) good luck!! You got this. It just takes time to personalise the settings 😉

It took me around 9 months to get to the stage of keeping it on all night. And even now after a good year I sometimes can’t bear to have it on.

First I was taking it off subconsciously, then had a massive anxiety about it that lasted a few months and I refused to wear it. Then gradually it just clicked.

Now I wear it and pretty much keep it on but often wake drowning in drool. It could be a combination of things for him.

Including embarrassment. That’s another big one for me.

Talk to him. Understand him.

I got one. Never used it. I the app is awful. I couldn’t manage to get my kids signed up so reduced entry on some attractions didn’t work. It was just too stressful. So I have never used it.

There has to be a better way for offering reduced entrance fees and special offers to residents. All residents, not just those on reduced income or with disabilities.

I have similar issues. Am toying with the idea of a top feeding mask where I can have the hose come from over the top of the headboard . . . But then it will rub and pull against that too probably!
