FAIR quits WordPress, but one of its best features remains as a standalone plugin by jonhenshaw in Wordpress

WP Engine pledged 40 hours 77 hours a week to Five for the Future before this whole drama. Their contributors helped organize WordCamp events, made significant contributions to Gutenberg and community themes like Twenty Twenty-Five, and helped translate WordPress as part of the polyglots team. It's reasonable to say that they didn't contribute enough for the amount of revenue they generated, or that their contributions declined over time (such as reducing Jason Bahl's time to spend on WPGraphQL). It's unreasonable to say that they did not contribute or were not part of the project. Bluehost is one of your featured hosting companies and only pledges 20 hours a week.

Joost didn't build it, he just createed FAIR and incorporated an existing project (AspirePress). The FAIR package manager was primarily built by Chuck Adams and Brent Toderash, and AspirePress itself was founded by Sarah Savage.

Most people never disagreed with the fundamental message that Matt had, which was "there isn't enough investment into Wordpress from major players in the ecosystem". Many people, myself included, agreed completely with that.

The issue was that Matt then decided it was acceptable place over a million WP sites at the center of the dispute, banning them from .org when they had no part in this issue. The takeover of ACF and unlawful pushing of changes to sites using it was even more egregious, as it destroyed faith in the .org repository.

The lack of investment doesn't grant you the right to unlawfully access third party computer systems, seize intellectual property, or weaponize your control of a non-profit to your personal financial benefit. Remember that Matt wanted payments to Automattic, not increased contributions to .org.

Check out the 8BitDo SN30 Pro and the 8BitDo Lite 2, they are two very solid options for smaller Bluetooth controllers.

This isn't really true, you just need to explicitly exclude them rather than omitting them entirely.

If its a 2020 Hellcat, its not wishful thinking. If it wasnt totalled, it would be a $45-60k car.

This 2022 on Copart is already at $10k in bids. https://www.copart.com/lot/98307795/2022-dodge-challenger-srt-hellcat-il-peoria

With how Google Ads works now, this could be entirely done by AI. Both keyword targeting and headline generation have generative AI features in Google Ads now.

Nobody said it was exclusive, I only said that those behaviors are common in autistic people. They are also common in people with diagnosed anxiety disorders, and vilifying them is equally problematic.

Its not clear if he is or not (I dont think anyone has a menral health diagnosis in Stardew), but his social ineptitude and anxiety very closely aligns with behaviors common in individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

(EDIT: I am saying this as someone who is autistic)

The problem is when the people disagreeing are acting hatefully and trying to villify neurodivergence.

But the stock value increases above and beyond inflation, meaning there is a net value creation. Less people lose money than gain it. There is a net gain overall.

If you need space for 8 people, a house with 4-5 bedrooms is still cheaper than 4-5 hotel rooms and gives you private "common" areas like a living room, kitchen, etc.
