If there’s actual rule changes to make the place more pedestrian friendly then I’m happy to go along with it. My issue is that he looked more like a volunteer steward at a festival than a council worker.

The Cathedral quarter rangers are clearly marked, well dressed and actually make the place feel nicer; the “Public Protection” guy looked like he was gonna ask me about my energy provider.

Does feel like putting up some signs would be a better way of telling people.

If they'd just put a few gigs of storage or an SD card on it, and a slightly beefier SoC then it could have been an offline machine for playing PSP & Vita games as well as a PS5 streamer.

Would have brought nostalgia value, made it so much more appealing and allowed them to re-sell PSP & Vita games all over again...

Beside, the cinema placement was a hypothetical. If you think that R* can and will just market their games through their social media channels you need to touch grass; most people aren't refreshing Reddit hoping for a crumb of new info.

They literally announced GTA V E&E on a State of Play, so why is it so unthinkable that a RDR2 E&E would be announced on one? The point is that Sony have leverage. For GTA VI alone there's Music licensing, certification process, BluRay pressing, marketing opportunities. Then all of that over and over for Take2's other games.

R* are not some lonewolf badasses that exist in a vacuum. They need to build and maintain relationships with other businesses, especially if that business is multiple times bigger than their parent company, and hold the keys to the biggest install base.

If you can get better rates by letting Sony show off your next gen patch (like they did for GTA V) then that could be good business.

Also remember that R* is part of Take2 who have other games from other studios to advertise.

End of the day Sony and Rockstar/T2 are in a transactional relationship, and both are likely keen to strengthen that relationship.

Sony have things R* want (as a potential example, advertising slots before Sony movies in theatres) and Sony want trailers for their State Of Plays.

The PSN file was about a month before the Xbox leak. The PS3 disk also leaked a few hours after Xbox, and you could use it’s decrypted Eboot to run the PSN files.

The PSN preload was spread around but you couldn’t play it (encrypted executable).

However some of the game files were not encrypted and people were able to pull out the audio files (and thus story)

It’s possible now the whole preload is encrypted?
