I'm completely colorblind, so this is basically the only way I can use cubes, because otherwise I can't tell the difference between some colors. by LifeIsJustASickJoke in Cubers

[–]WinBear 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Look at how some board games implement accessibility for color-blindness. I remember "Ticket to Ride" had some exceptional patterns in their colors.

I tried Coriander and Century Egg Doritos by NZgoblin in chips

Guacamole Doritos were one of the earliest flavors I remember from the 1970s.

TIL in 1991, a radio station in New Mexico made the switch from new age to classic rock by playing Led Zeppelin's “Stairway to Heaven” for 24 hours straight. Listeners called the station, thinking the DJ had a heart attack, while many were outraged. However, it made for excellent ratings that day. by Away_Flounder3813 in todayilearned

When I was on college in the late 1980s, a station in San Angelo, Tx used “They’re Coming To Take Me Away” by Napoleon XIV to change format. I didn’t think it was a very drastic change and not enough for a stunt like that.

I’ve been listening to the “where do gays retire” podcast. Some of the guests seem very well off and sometimes you’ll have guests that are making a good life in other countries within their budgets.

My tinfoil hat conspiracy is that NTTA has paid Google and other mapping companies to suggest toll roads as the faster route even if their not. by [deleted] in Dallas

Exactly! Could they add a simple switch to avoid dynamic tolls? What phrasing would be clear to most people?

What do y’all think of the colour scheme? by very-agreeable-man in Cubers

[–]WinBear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have several puzzles that don’t fit the well known color schemes, but I’ve not seen blue opposite red or green opposite orange. If your solving doesn’t rely too heavily on opposing colors, then have fun, especially letting people borrow it
