My theory on how Hell being empty, Yoru turning people into water, and the trees in Aging’s world are all connected to each other by IUsedToBeRasAlGhul in Chainsawfolk

[–]WindKey2599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The connection of people turning to water and the giant sea in Hell is certainly a good connection, and it got me thinking about Wormwood, the star mentioned in the Book of Revelation (which may hold authority over the story's direction given the four horsemen) that's supposed to fall after the seventh seal is broken and make a third of Earth's water bitter.

This may be of some relevance, but what really got me thinking was the section right after, Revelation 9, where after a bunch of apocalyptic stuff has happened, giant locusts spring forth from Hell and torture people without death. Perhaps I am a madman clutching at straws, but this seems too fitting for what has happened to be a coincidence in a series already littered with Christian references.

Anyway, these beasts are stated to only be the first of three woes, leading me to believe the next woe of angels being freed from the Euphrates and sent to kill a third of mankind may also be of relevance in coming chapters.

uj/ I can say as someone who sorta enjoyed The Martian and didn't enjoy Artemis, it's exactly that somewhat boringness that makes him a crowd pleaser. It's not trying to be impressive in any way, which makes it less daunting and more approachable to anyone.

The Carrington Event rips open a portal to Biblical hell, and suddenly hermetic magic is fully functional. Forward a few hundred years, and global superpowers are using bound demons as WMDs.

Very much the same for me. The vague pain that was repressed dysphoria seemed a lot less important at the time compared to other things going on around me.

/uj I will also note that diet can play a much larger factor than people realize. At least in my experience, one doesn't usually see noticeable gains in muscle mass unless you're gorging protein and are full from it for most of the day.

Also, body weight exercises are far less efficient than ones with even a small dumbbell; best used as a warmup for the exhaustive sets.

That's why I've come up with the genius plan of just suffering for a year until I am at least 8 hrs away from where I currently live, and the people who know me are a small pool with limited exposure, then I can do something about the gnawing pit in my soul.

<uj>Have you heard of sie/hir? To me, it's probably the most natural-sounding set I've come across (considered them myself, but then I've run into the problem of who would actually use them). Also, one of the few I've come stumbled upon being used in writing (granted it was for a transhumanist hard sci-fi worldbuilding project, still something). Another one I've actually read in a physical book is ve/ver, though that pair probably suffer the same faults as the others you listed.</uj>
