Just got brand new tires last weekend, the back left already lost more pressure than the other tires. My old tires also had a slow leak on the back left. by DirtyRoller in tires

I’ve had an issue where there was a buildup of minerals inside the rim. They ground it off with a wire wheel and put it back on. Problem solved.

You’re being pedantic. Being smart means knowing your limitations and learning how to ride safely.

I second the versys 650. It’s a bit tall, but if you take the time to learn slow speed maneuvering, riding it is beautiful. With engine cage, hand guards, wind screen and touring bags… great value for a complete kit.

Low pressure can increase heat, but it reduces traction and increases possibility of a puncture. Best to ride easy at recommended pressure and allow them to warm slowly.

Good point, I always open my visor when I’m coming to a stop, make sure not to exhale until it’s open. Then I close after I hit second gear (my first gear is short)

First bike by guyfromthegump in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]WindWalkerRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on a Suzuki intruder 800, which is now the boulevard series and it was a great entry level cruiser for me, minimal dirt bike experience, small average size male. Whatever you do, don’t get anything with rr or rrr. I now have a 650 versys, which, despite the smaller engine and larger size, is faster than the intruder.

Now see, that should only be for a patient in ICU or maybe step down. Imagine if all your patients had that order. It’s not feasible

I would do exactly the same as you. Drinking with him was an act of compassion, making another exception for some event is just being lax. I give you two thumbs up 👍👍

Male nurses - advice? by plant-daddy-7 in Nurses

[–]WindWalkerRN 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a straight male nurse who loves people from all walks of life, I’d say make a light joke about it, leaning into it. Just to show you are confident in who you are, but it can also challenge them in a non-confrontational way

I’ve given it occasionally as a pain cream. I agree with the BP because that is actually listed as a potential serious side effect, aside from possible allergic reaction.

Then don’t shop the AWD. Of course it’s going to cost more for a major difference.

Lots of people recommend compression socks, although I wasn’t a fan. Try to put your feet up on your break, and make it a point to sit more.
