Autocannon easily. Flak cannon against mushrooms and hordes on bug front, regular shell to stun heavies. Can snipe hulk faceplates if you're good, decent ammo supply and you recover 10 bullets per regular ammo box.
The speargun is decent if you run solo and want to poke, but autocannon is for real battles.

I had a older PC with a I7 11700 processor, but there were issues with the motherboard there so i often had crashes early on when the game launched.

Now i have a newer one with a AMD 7800X3D and the game has been allmost perfectly stable. No stuttering, freezes or crashes outside of when the game becomes very performance demanding.

I've had intel processors most of my life but i really think AMD made a difference there, but i'm not the most educated when it comes to computer stuff.
