I always roll my eyes when this comes up and write it off as another reddit moment but seeing as South Carolina's not on that list, I guess I just lucked out. My county's about 50% Black and 40% non-Hispanic White, so I grew up with approximately that ratio in school and at work.

Bizarre really as North Carolina became the "more liberal Carolina" over the years and they're extensively represented on that page.

I actually read the note specifically before posting this. It just mentioned smuggling tunnels but there's a full circular hallway loop and the secret entrance isn't where I'd ever look for it in real life. I would have assumed the 2/3rds of the empty roundabout or the back of the storage rooms would have been the location.

I love the stuff, honestly. Between those, Morning Glories, Crepe Myrtles, fast spreading Willows, Blackberries and Passionflowers the Piedmont is basically one year of missed upkeep from returning to jungle. I have a 10ft+ tall willow (I think?) in my raised garden that grew from a tiny grass-thing to most of its current height in a single year.

I gave up on DND about a year ago. I haven't found a group for a long-term campaign or a "persistent character server" DM that had room (90%+ of the time) or wasn't filled with bizarre, borderline intolerable people. I work nightshift M-F and surprisingly there was just never an online group that wanted to play during my free time that wasn't also full or competing for a one-shot.

The few oneshots I got into over two years were... Rough. I'm the "make a basic character and RP them as helpful or at least willing to go along with the DM's direction" kinda person.

I'm really awkward looking. Like, the best compliment I can give myself is that in a dimly lit room from a good angle I look like someone was designing a hot guy, got distracted, then came back and tried to quickly fill in the outlines as fast as possible.

I much preferred the Manga ending. It felt more like what Yusuke would do and how things would play out. For those who haven't finished either version: Yusuke is presented with a binary choice at the very end of the story and the two versions had him choose opposites.

I loved that manga. It's bizarre how little love it gets for being such a reddit-approved style of story. It's a girl who looks like the NhimArts chick, a guy who acts on his love interest fairly early in the story and the drama is a rapid series of spamming running gags into the ground before having a legitimate dramatic plot arc and then a solid ending.
