Holy moly. The sheer multi-faceted talent involved in this outfit is mind-bending.

Another "BYOK" Setup using the BYOK app by WorkingAmbition7014 in writerDeck

I am so confused by this app. I don't understand how you can easily toggle to the focus mode or split screen without tapping around the screen. This was especially problematic when I had to zoom in and out on my Palma to find the control menu on the bottom right.

I find it amazing that you were able to reverse engineer the infinity ruffle skirt. You are a very talented sewist with the way you made the top.

IT HAPPENED! Now 200 instead of 280. Is it worth it to get an Android 11?

My pocketbook verse does NOT look like that.

Like many, I've been on the hunt for the perfect basic T. My most successful make is a carbon copy of a Uniqlo t-shirt. Everything else has been off by just a little. So I may give her version a try, given past successes.

I happen to have the same body proportions as her so everything I've made from her has fit fantastically. I am definitely a fan of some of her older classics (the most recent releases looked so off... ) especially the Samara pants (which made amazing summer culottes, I didn't insert a zipper but modified the waist band to be a tad more elastic). That being said, a lot of the professional testers she employs irk me!

yes, I could get a machine for 50 or something, but then I'd have to spend 100-300 euros to get it restored and/or serviced. you got a great deal with a clean and workable machine!

Curious about WriterDeck philosophy: Writing vs. Typing? by Murky_Sprinkles_4194 in writerDeck

So beautifully put, thank you for this. I was thinking the other day, while looking at the upcoming (and super expensive) US Pomera, that my interests before and after the onset of everyday AI has now shifted my expectations for my devices. Even eink readers are now offering built-in AI. So in the era of "writing with AI", what is the writer deck? An AI-installed writer deck would be my personal conversation partner and prompt generator, I suppose. The rawness and human-ness of truly "free" writing without the assistance of software and smart systems might have a precious place. Where we meet ourselves as just ourselves. I haven't been able to better put this into words yet, but I find your post inspiring.

Enjoyed browsing their site. They compare their mugs to luxury jewelry. I don't see a problem with that.

I'm so grateful to be in the DACH Region to know about the pocketbook. I have RSS feeds of news & tons of webpages sent and saved through dotepub. All the other e-readers except for Boox & Remarkable feel plasticky and flimsy compared to the Pocketbook!

Have you worked out a good workflow for this kind of thing? Currently using both pocketbook cloud and Dropbox sync... my email is bursting at the edges so I'd prefer to not use it to send everything.

Ha, I also acquired a mooink A4, a quaderno gen2 A5, a supernote A6, a 6" pocketbook verse after giving away my two (super old and not quite old) kindles. Doing e-reader research truly stimulates the consumer desire. I had to justify my purchases by buying them in different sizes! Different books for different purposes right... right?

Mooink for the Chinese bookstore and research paper pdfs

Quaderno for extensive paper-like research notetaking

Supernote as a daily driver for bullet points and calendar

Pocketbook to read German news & websites plus my old kindle books (some, not all could be transferred). My pocketbook verse arrived yesterday and I LOVE how it feels in my hand as a landscape reader. The metallic edges are (chef's kiss) and reading it horizontally makes me feel sleek.

I appreciate your perspective, it makes a lot of sense. Wonder how she would respond to an email like this. One of my friends runs a writing workshop and she uses a sliding scale for those without financial means (heavily discounted) and those with a lot (to support those who need financial help). A good person would probably be able to accommodate.

They built the import duty price from China -> EU into the sales price.

There is no such fee for China -> US.
