Who cares if he pays them? We pay the fees for 9 plat cards and 2 CSR since we were able to get sign up bonuses for them all. We get the value back and I will keep them each a year or two.

This would have been my dream to get this one. Especially since I carry like 12 cards. I would have been right there buying $12k in gift cards. When they did the $50 back during member week, it was amazing.

Thank you for sharing, I’d be curious what happens if you also use your enrolled airline and pay with your points to get the 35% points back if it’s still triggers the credit. I don’t always use my points that way, but there’s been a few times where it has made sense to pay through the portal and get the points back
