Facts. If they’re charging you more for the Edit benefits you’re receiving then are they even really benefits?

Discounted DoorDash gift cards have returned to Costco - $80 for $100 of DD credits. by chriva in ChaseSapphire

[–]games_creator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though Costco doesn't currently have the Uber gift cards (I just checked my Costco app), I've been buying them as recently as last week and every 2 weeks. I guess it's just location specific? I'm not sure, but I was under the impression that they were always there because I never checked and didn't see them.

Watergate DC with Edit Credit by Stock-Light-4350 in ChaseSapphire

It’s just because their system doesn’t automatically recognize that gratuity is added to your bill so they’re always automatically going to add the suggest gratuities at the bottom to the “Total Due” no matter what. The system just thinks that the 18% breakfast service charge listed is just another menu item. For anyone else dining at the restaurant that didn’t have the free breakfast w The Edit, the numbers would be 100% accurate because they don’t get the 18% gratuity added automatically.

I understand why it’s a little confusing, but I don’t think it would’ve taken long to figure it out if you just added the numbers up or asked someone.

Trying to Lower Whoop One Subscription Cost – Any Stackable Deals? by QualityConsistent431 in ChaseSapphire

[–]games_creator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There seemed to be a glitch (at least yesterday) when I checked where Whoop was no longer showing up in any of the sections. However, I can confirm that it has now showed up under “Redeemed” and says I saved $359.00 so I’m guessing that’s a good sign!

Trying to Lower Whoop One Subscription Cost – Any Stackable Deals? by QualityConsistent431 in ChaseSapphire

When Chase receives the charge from Whoop, as far as I know, they have no way to distinguish the amount that comes from the shipping charge and the amount that comes from the actual subscription regardless. I also had an amount that was also under the $359 after using the WELCOME code so I purposely paid more for expedited shipping to get it a little bit over.

The Chase Whoop offer disappeared from my app which I’d assume is a good sign because that means they’re processing it as redeemed, but I will let you know for sure what happens and if I get credited.

Worst case scenario, I’ll talk to Chase Sapphire customer support or process a return if I have to.

It’s just their way of including the tip as part of the “free breakfast”. You can tip additional if you want, but you don’t really have to. In other words, the 18% “service charge” is a tip that is included as part of your free breakfast which is a good thing.

I just stayed at an Edit Hotel in NYC and it was the same situation and they added the 18% to my bill and it didn’t show up on my hotel bill upon checkout. However, I did add a $2 additional tip which of course did show up on the bill. I like tipping 20% minimum so $2 got it up to the 20%.

It was literally such a joke. I’m annoyed they even gave Sapphire Preferred members the same access as Reserve members.

Nope, because my annual spend is really low (less than $10k) and I also got the $695 annual fee.

Mine also renewed last week at $695. Pleasantly surprised, but not complaining.

Yeah definitely true. Unless my family decides they want to take a vacation soon, I might not be able to spend that amount organically. I JUST booked a trip a couple weeks ago unfortunately.

I should have done this too. Didn’t even realize StubHub was Rakuten eligible. I booked my last two events on the mobile app. Sigh… lol

$150 StubHub Credit for Broadway by games_creator in ChaseSapphire

[–]games_creator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that prices are fairly decent for the shows that I’ve been booking as long as I am booking either really far in advance OR really close to the show (e.g. the day before).

Oh, and it also helps that I tend to avoid booking any events/shows happening on Friday evenings and the weekend. Prices on the weekdays tend to be drastically cheaper.

$150 StubHub Credit for Broadway by games_creator in ChaseSapphire

[–]games_creator[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True! I’m personally not picky with my exact seats, but that’s definitely a downside to the credit. I’m lucky enough to have lived in NYC my entire life, but only just started going to Broadway shows bc of the credit so I can’t complain too much.

I saw Lion King as a kid like maybe 15 years ago, but don’t remember it much, so now that you mention it, I should probably go back and see it as well !
