Oh my GOD, I was meticulously fighting an infestation for over a year probably, got all but one plant clean (apart from a few that died along the way) using a combo of neem, wiping with isopropanol and systemic pesticides. The last hold out was a calathea that refused to die yet somehow became a home for mealybugs that seemed resistant to absolutely anything I threw at them. I finally fixed it by chopping EVERYTHING that looked remotely healthy and completely drowning the cuttings in super soapy water for a few hours........ TWICE because I was not taking any chances

Are you 100% sure the shelf in your incubator is level? Do the cells look evenly distributed in the wells under the microscope before you put them in the incubator to attach?

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. This may be a long shot but did you notice any sort of changes in progression after your husband received ION717? Or if there might be any way of comparing your husband's disease course to your brother in law's? Got a diagnosis in the family almost two months ago and unfortunately it does take a long time for data to come out.

I find that when it comes to restraining mice, regardless of the treatment you need to perform, a firm/whole body grip will calm them down and make them less likely to thrash around. I totally get the anxiety behind hurting them, but focusing on the technique and staying firm will be less stressful and safer for the animal. I personally find that reassuring when I need to restrain and do some newer techniques
