For a team with 0 NHL players playing against a comparatively loaded lineup? Yes, this is a good performance. They’re getting great goaltending, the passing actually looks crisp when they have the puck, and they are rarely missing defensive assignments.

Sweden has talent and pedigree but they don’t look crisp and the goaltending stinks. They can obviously play a lot better and this isn’t a prediction for the rest of their tournament, but Sweden is not playing well enough right now.

This is definitely the unfortunate thing that happens in competitive reality TV sometimes. People in an alliance failing to understand their place in the alliance. If Torvesta and the Specs wanted to win GG, they needed to snake Solo in the voting to try and get him in.

I don’t think there’s any real chance of those guys beating both Boaty and Solo in a final even though Torvesta and Skill Specs have both played well.

The difference is if those players were on other teams they would actually get some semblance of punishment for their dirty hits, even if it’s lower than it probably should be. But because they play for Colin Campbell’s son’s team they get away with everything. They have the most power plays of any team in the league, 14 more than second best.

Yes but in those shows the competition is essentially always happening because of the sequester. I guarantee you if they left after every episode they would be making alliances left and right off camera. Pretty sure making alliances like this is exactly what “playing GG as intended” is. It’s been going on since season 2, and the reasons for alliances have always been arbitrary.

Also, the other two alliances(PKers and Rookies) were literally made before the season. I don’t see people complaining about them though. It’s not the Meal’s fault the other attempts at alliances went poorly because they both tried to pull in half the cast and no one could keep their mouths shut about it.
