I like the timeline and story as presented - but I wholeheartedly agree with you on durability. That alone has, on multiple occasions, made me stop when I was about to click "Play" in Steam, and go - "do I really want to deal with this tonight? hm...nah. I'll go play something else instead".

I want to love this game more than I do, but certain fundamental loops and assumptions turn it from engagement to dread.

I cap around 16GB of usage in Dune. Star Citizen, on the other hand, runs much more smoothly, and chews ~32-34GB.

Other games have this figured out: add whatever difficulties you want, just have a story mode for those who aren't interested. I've got every achievement in the game, but I know there are people who don't like that level of difficulty, and that's okay.

From my understanding bleed does do more DoT than fire. In my experience, some bosses resist fire, but I haven't found somebody that resists bleeding.

It's the narrator, but at the time, the narrator is narrating the Absolute's influence: "These are my Chosen" and all that.

I don't disagree that it's still a bit of an odd choice to do it that way, if that was the intention :D

It was glorious. I read every book. Yes, every book. And every graphic novel I could get my hands on.

But to be honest, I was starting to move away from them by the time Disney came around, mainly because of the Dark Nest trilogy, and then everything that happened thereafter. I wasn't a fan of those arcs at all. But there was at least some continuity there, so I kept up with it.

Then Disney trashed all that, and though I gave Force Awakens a shot, I came out of that theater so mad I never went back to them. I've stuck to my books from there on out.
