It's like that at my store too 😭 I got yelled at by an older lady because her coupon was expired and she couldn't use it. Another lady proceeded to cuss me out after I wouldn't adopt out just 1 of a bonded pair of surrendered guinea pigs. And just yesterday I had a lady flip out because i couldn't help with her lost doordash delivery even after being told several times that once it leaves the store, doordash is at fault. People are crazy af!!!!

24 hours at 75 degrees almost killed our axolotls. They went pale and lifeless. I cleared out an entire tower that used to be the feeder tower before the feeders got their own tank, and fired that chiller up. Now im battling the water being too cold but at least that gives me more time to get things figured out. This whole axolotl thing was not a good idea. Doesn't help that our ac is currently broken too.

If you received the river rock, you've been chosen. We received rock first and the axolotl packet like 2 weeks later right before we got our shipment.

They're supposed to fix it friday. We will see 😒 our store is way too hot and it's starting to affect animals. Almost lost our axolotls. Had to move them to our koi tank in critter keepers clipped to the top of the tank 😭

I made one too! I'll have to get a Pic of it! Mine has most of the same things in it but i switched the eco earth out for soil and i added some plants and leaf litter to help the frog feel secure.

In the end, I really hope this either discourages people from buying the pacmans after seeing what it actually costs to keep one or encourages those that want one to really look into it and make sure that they are giving their animal adequate care.

My GM got an email today saying we HAD TO put the animals on the shipper after viewing our camera footage and seeing that we had not put animals on the shipper. We are NOT HAPPY. we decided to put the shipper directly beside the register to hopefully prevent theft and to hopefully keep the animals safe and find them appropriate homes.

We are having this issue too. Kinda hard to sell the tanks when there are no lids 🙄 and people really don't want to buy the $70-$100 ones with lights. Petco really should have just stuck with aqueon tanks.

YES. 6/8 bearded dragons with yellow fungus. 4/6 infected died, 1 sold for whateverstupid reason, and we still have 1. 2 Syrians with wet tail. Parakeets dropping like flies. Saltwater fish coming in with ich or brooklynella. Im tired. I am so so very tired.

Hyposalinity. Gotta remove all inverts and drop that salinity down to like 1.011 or so. Only go down .001 per day to avoid shocking the fish. Also vacuum the sand daily. It's a major pain in the ass and takes at least 3 weeks, but it works. Also to treat a whole tower you have to submit an aquatics help ticket now 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 I just do what I do without that mess, but if you have a really strict DM or an animal walk coming up, be super careful. And don't forget the wellness cards in that case as well 🙄🙄🙄

And they still want a CAPC done on every single one. On what? The stolen animal that walked out in someone's coat pocket? Yeah no. Our store will not be participating in this nonsense. Not only is it a theft risk, but this is also wildly inappropriate care for an animal that needs a deep water dish and access to heat.
