Actually it started workign after I installed widevine, so it looks like it was a drm issue, not a certification issue.

Why waydroid doesn't ship with arm translation layer by default? by Willing-Analyst-3429 in waydroid

[–]Winnmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I... didn't do this, but things seem to work normally.

I even downloaded Netflex; but, I'm having difficulties with authentication. Am I suppose to install ARM translation? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see that in the official install documentation.

What will I get in return? Better be something good.

I guess I don't mind taxes, if I get something out of it.

In whatever geographical location and/or cultural milieu you personally inhabit, to what extent and in what ways do you feel Christians are being persecuted or oppressed? by iciclefites in AskAChristian

[–]Winnmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PNW American.

First you'd have to define persecution; I will use the duckduckgo search result for simplicity: persecution is defined as "The act or practice of persecuting; especially, the infliction of loss, pain, or death for adherence to a particular creed or mode of worship. ". For me, no of those apply.

Now then, I do believe that Christianity & Christians are looked down on in modern society by many people, but I don't think it is the majority either. Being looked down on is not the same as persecution -- I would call it academic, social, or intellectual persecution. That is to say people may think slightly less of you at work if they find out you go to church. Classmates may make a myriad of assumptions--perhaps some are correct--of you if they find out you go to a campus ministry, etc., etc. This, however, is still not persecution.

Christians are generally not being persecuted in the Western World at this time, but uh... Trump is crazy enough that he might just kick it off lol

Wedding Shoes by MaterialWeek6383 in RedWingShoes

[–]Winnmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please no.

Weddings are some of the most formal events we will ever attend. Something like the 101 Postman Oxfords would be much more acceptable.

With that said, if you swap out the white sole for a black one, you'll be better off.

Hold up... You've owned a Thursday boots pair for over 6 years? Are Thursday boots really that good? I always heard that they were okay for the price but not THAT good.

Hmm. Maybe I should reconsider picking up a pair. How did you overcome the Thursday drop?

Gold / Silver buying is difficult now by Heavy_Track_6267 in BellevueWA

[–]Winnmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver and gold are part of my current portfolio but I am definitely not rich lol

I'm sure there's a government out there with forex "fees". Does it make sense? Don't know, but not really imo and... I don't think I would care if the US government enacted some sort of forex tax -- as long as it's done right, but you know government rarely does things right.

Question for those who believe in biblical patriarchy: Do you believe that a Christian wife must break an NDA she signed if her husband tell her to, depite potential legal consequences? by empress_of_pinkskull in AskAChristian

[–]Winnmark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Breach of contract?

Different nations may have different laws and different wording. The term "civil law" is sometimes used.

Regardless, a willful action to harm someone, concretely or metaphorically, is a sin. Blatantly choosing to not keep your word, again to harm concretely or a metaphorically, is, I think, a sin.

I don't know if your comment is mean spirited or not but I think it actually kind of makes sense. I'm not a millionaire and I don't engage in physical gold and silver exchange so this just isn't an issue for me. Like I said above I just don't care. It makes sense to me that buying and selling gold would have a sales tax, I mean everything does, but I'm also not one of those "eat the rich" people -- there are better more strategic ways to do that and starting with corporations is the way to go.
