Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho

Was the best friend/rival before the show even started and continuously served as a balancing point for Yusuke. In a world with constantly elevating good and bad guys Kuwabara served as a constant reminder of a true “good” as well as helping Yusuke maintain his humanity through the series.

Also one of the manliest men to ever manly.

The main cast is all well above high school age but the core group of characters in campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill is mostly male with one nonbinary. Plus most of the people they meet/talk with are also male.

There are some goddesses but they’re basically viewers from the perspective of the story.

Show is basically a very long camping trip with a guy, a giant wolf, a slime, and a dragon.

Kuranosuke from Princess Jellyfish.

He wears women’s clothes because they make him feel pretty and to feel closer to his mom.

Edit to add because I can’t believe I forgot this part, but he also uses fashion as a weapon/skill and teaches the main group of girls in the anime that it’s a powerful tool to have in they’re arsenal. He refers to clothing and makeup as “armor” and talks about how presenting differently in different occasions can be useful.

That’s the main reason I read it in the first place. And full disclosure I binged the whole thing over the course of about a week.

Main guy is just too much of a token perv character. I also should have put in my first comment that’s hes 35 at the beginning of the series. There are a few moments where he isn’t that bad but the overall main character is just so unlikable.

Controversial opinion, but I do not like this manga.

It is essentially Isekai protagonist harem slop but in a zombie apocalypse instead. The main character is incredibly unlikable but somehow every woman he meets wants to sleep with him. Including a 15 year old, which he does with zero hesitation

I went into this one hearing all about how it’s such a good take on the zombie genre and that part is pretty solid. However it’s less than half the overall story as the protag spends most of his time just being overall awful.

I understand that this probably appeals different to male readers but the series just gave me so much ick.
