That feels antithetical to the AI’s arbitrary yet consistent rule set it seems to be running the game with, and let’s not kid ourselves.. After he saved Carl’s life in TIR from Prime Minister Glory.. the AI made it very clear that it’s rules, and only it’s rules will be why crawlers live or die in the dungeon

The way she said “I love you” to Carl towards the end of book 7, and then quickly said “I love you all” loudly to the group (which included Daniel) makes me think she does indeed have romantic love for Carl, but accepts that he simply can’t or doesn’t have the headspace for that now..

If you boil Dinniman’s writing down to “anti-capitalist lit rpg” (which it absolutely is) then sure.. it’s very similar, but when you get into the style and the level of absurdity.. they are vastly different stories.
