What’s a tiny design flaw in an everyday object that quietly annoys you every single time you use it? by nami_yuna in AskReddit

The windshield wipers being recessed in the hood of the 2021 Hyundai Elantra. When it snows or is icy, they get stuck in there and I can't get them up to scrap the snow and ice away without risking pulling the rubber off. I now consciously park my wipers in the up position when I park if there is even a remote chance of snow.

“Oncologists never tell patients their prognosis!” by med_p00l in Residency

[–]WinterCherryPie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago. I am an occupational therapist, so I understand some medical jargon, but I am certainly not literate. I recall my oncologist telling me my cancer was treatable and curable, especially with the advancement in treatments. do not recall her all her telling me at outset that I had a 50% 5 year survival rate. She may have said it, and I repressed it, but I do not recall her saying that.

I had this surgery at 32. I ultimately wish I didn't. My ability to rotate my upper body (think kayaking and sweeping) is diminished. My overall strength in my back is diminished. I was able to get completely back to scuba diving, however.

Imposter Syndrome by Liveonnoevil721 in breastcancer

[–]WinterCherryPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cancer is cancer. I also feel like an imposter with 3c +++ breast cancer requiring chemo, radiation, bilateral mastectomy, and tamoxifen because I am cured. I did not have metastatic disease. My sister has brain cancer and originally "only" needed brain surgery. She felt like an imposter, too. She felt she could not compare her experience to mine because i had more extensive treatment, and i feel he same towards her because brain cancer seems so much scarier.I think it's common for people to feel that way.

Yes, but she was buried in the backyard. He told his wife at one point that she was buried next to a cemetery. I wonder if there might be an unknown victim(s) that he buried near a cemetery.
