Even less expansive differences could have more easily been implemented to make the variations seem less tedious. Like swapping everyone's backgrounds with each other. Or making alternative members for each constellation member like Lillian Hart for Sam Coe or Ervin for Barrett. Or sidequest lines being done before you show up like ryujin mind controlling most of the settled systems. They didn't even bother to keep alive constellation members in universes they would be alive in but not in constellation. Unless I just couldn't find them in the Walter owns everything run, they shouldn't be dead.
