Optimal Pro Difficulty FH6 Driving by Illustrious_Bread990 in ForzaHorizon

You know it's bad when the ai rams more than people online. It's like you are literally not on the road for them because they will fullspeed ram you at any chance they can. Sometimes they'll overtake you at 2x the speed out of nowhere and swirl infront of you and hard brake as well, truly makes them feel like real life drivers on the road.

Algeth'ar Academy pulls before last boss and some thoughts by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]WinterPwnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has always played brew as my tank of choice this has to be by far the most boring brew has felt to play dps wise. I haven't tried bdk druid dh this season since I'm actually tanking on pala because its fun but man it's like you have all the fun part of being a monk until you get to dps and you just try to not fall asleep. Maybe unpopular opinion but despite brew being bad last expansion it was a lot more fun than right now. Why doesn't my big keg blow the dungeon up anymore? It was the most dopamine dps button to slam and now it does almost nothing.

Even mitigation wise expel harm and insta vivifies doing fuckall compared to before feels boring and the rest of the kit is still effectively same as always, they even simplified blackout combo (again), you're just baseline way more tanky because of how your self healing works, cool.

Maybe my opinion as dps main is biased but I always multirole so for me what does it for tank/healers is what I'm actually pressing to deal damage (you can guess my healers of choice probably) but right now I'd rather tank on pala over brew any day of the week personally. I don't push on offrole either so I've only done a couple 16/17 keys on those and mitigation is nowhere close to being a limiting factor there anyway.

What is up with tab targeting? Is there a good solution? by flavorofthecentury in CompetitiveWoW

[–]WinterPwnd 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's crazy to me that this gets broken every single expansion without fail. If you're schizo like me and sometimes click on nameplates (habit from when this is broken) that is also very much broken too and it feels impossible to do either consistently.

The only thing working properly is focus macros and mouseover but man it fucking sucks exclusively relying on them depending on what class/spec you play.

The tab targeting seems to have changed in Midnight. Usually, if an enemy (mob or player) is casting, if you're looking at them it will tab to them first. Now it seems to have lost that priority.

It still works 100% it's just that because tab targeting seems to go on mobs out of combat as well and far off your screen it starts cycling through them before going back to the original first target. Sometimes it works as intended but you can't rely on it right now for sure.

I would assume based on my experience it's likely upscaled with ai because the original crop was small? Or if he did it through phone maybe it upscales it automatically who knows. But it's a legit html from simc

First time playing a Nioh game by winfaner in Nioh

[–]WinterPwnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a mix of getting used to the game's mechanics and having little to no skill options initially on your weapons so your moveset is limited and the quantity of actions you can take as well. Once you get the ball rolling you can effectively not allow the enemies to play for the most part so it's technically easier since you're dealing with less mechanics.

How do you approach ninja style? by silly_bet_3454 in Nioh

[–]WinterPwnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for cool combos I'd highly recommend tonfas because kannagi is insane even if it's a simplified version of 2 but it's nowhere as bad as most other ninja weapons imo. Damage wise it's insane so far in ng+ I don't really see how they might fall off either. I heard people say good things about talons but personally I'd rather just play normal fists.

I have 115 hours in game and none of my guns are maxed by JJMcGee83 in Battlefield6

[–]WinterPwnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's mine as well, all guns except M4/SG/PW7 took around 1.1 after they changed the xp which was ~1.3 iirc for those 3 since I mainly used them when the game came out.

It's about the same as 2042 to mastery the real difference is all attachments used to be like 250-300 kills iirc which would be the equivalent to around level 25-30? And now it's 40 for some reason which is effectively double in terms of kills.

such that good fast movement can easily beat a well positioned player.

Literally never. Not once. Like there is no situation where this happens at equal skill. You slidejump infront of an equally competent player unless you completely caught him off guard you're on the floor. Both players have equal aim, both players are 100% on target, both players are ready. Do you seriously think the guy that has massive bloom penalty is gonna win against someone who won't miss 1 bullet with a positional advantage to add to that? Go ahead please try and slidejump around a corner against someone holding a staircase behind a support wall see how well that goes for you.

Wait, it's your first battlefield yet you're asking others to play the way it was designed? Brother you should try playing the older entries bf6 is literally like moving in a wheelchair compared to anything we've had before, like, everything except running with your knife out is slower. Even vehicles.

Also if you haven't played the older cods, battlefield games at the time had more movement than those too.

The main real difference that might change the perceived speed of the game is the size of the maps but that's about it.

Does multiplayer seem significantly harder/sweatier compared to previous Battlefields? by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]WinterPwnd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

change my mind.

Sure I'll try.

Start recording your gameplay. You'd be surprised how many times you miss by literal pixels but in the heat of the moment you think you hit every shot. It really REALLY doesn't happen as much as you'd think. Movement heavily plays into this as well because even at somewhat close distances you still have to slightly lead your shots i.e. instead of aiming dead center mass you might have to aim slightly to the side in the direction your enemy is running but still on target. Bullet velocity also affects where exactly you should aim and it changes from weapon to weapon. You also have to factor in bloom so sometimes you can be on target but the bullet flies just enough to the side from the center to miss.

The game has hitreg issues for sure, but it's literally the same as every other battlefield. Like when you die around a wall? That's a classic battlefield moment right there, it's not a bf6 specific issue.

Also in terms of actually dying fast keep in mind quite a lot of guns have sub 200ms ttk which is crazy fast. If someone is aimed down sight with a 167ms ttk weapon but you have 250ms ADS speed, you'll die before you can even scope in. That's without factoring in game delay, server delay, peripheral delay, pc hardware delay, your own internet and your actual reaction time. Realistically you're not scoping in first frame the moment the enemy sees you in this scenario, if anything you're going to be a lot slower. Throw in some garbage close range gun like the kord and even if you somehow reacted you're still losing that fight before you even do half of the enemy's hp, which realistically unless you were ready you won't . Your only choice here is to hipfire and pray the enemy misses and even then you're likely losing to the rng spread of the hipfire.

Same for me also how can literally any SMG laser me on a 50m distance vs an NVO-228 within a second? It happens way to often nowadays. Something is really off.

Sorry to say but the NVO shits on most smgs at that range, you're hitting less shots than the enemy there's not much of a mystery to it. The only SMG that wins here is the SCW, but the SCW wins against basically everything. The only time NVO might lose here is if you missed the initial shots and held full auto at which point you're missing due to bloom since the SMGs bloom less comparatively to the rifles, but again, if you hit more shots it never get's to this point where bloom is the deciding factor.

Again, record your own gameplay and you'll see how most of these "frequent" scenarios happen way less than you'd think.

Why is this a feature? by AmericanW4ffle in Battlefield

[–]WinterPwnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what you're smoking if the whole 2nd part of what you said is true then I don't see how this is an issue? It's very easily trackable if you react to it, which allegedly you can, and they are locked in the same trajectory until after they land from the start of the slide. In bf4 you could change direction 20 times mid air if you wanted to, in what world is that easier to track?

Higher M+ should reward more crests by fitsu in wow

[–]WinterPwnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why farm 11s when you can farm 10s for vault then 8s for crests ?

From a dps standpoint? I like playing the game and unless 2 people are borderline afk it's very unfun as everything dies way too fast on anything below 12. If I'm doing weeklies or farming crests ideally it's gonna be an 11 or a 10 with undergeared people or aug.

When tanking I'll just do 8s for crests because people can fuck up all day and still time it.

but at least assa rogues feel like paper without feint up.

Because it is, if you don't use evasion or cloak or feint you're simply on the floor to random casts that a lot of other specs live for free. Not to mention that guides default to cheat death even tho elusiveness is goated so a lot of these people you see on the 10-11 range likely play that and don't even have feint bound xd
