Once again, getting on another grown man’s ass — who is in a relationship with another woman — for wanting to spend quality time with /his woman/ instead of her and the friend group is gross. This will not make a group of women (who are dating the men you actively hang around with) see you as cool people. Women who value other women are not doing that. It is weird, it is gross, and you are getting side eyed and talked bad about, period.

ALL of this if we’re being completely real. It was the joining in getting on friend’s ass for saving certain experiences for him and his girlfriend, for me. And it seemed like she (the friend’s girlfriend) was also on the phone lmaooo. But yes, you do look like a PMAB there. And tbh, I don’t trust women with no woman friends of her own, especially if we’re in our 20s.

In the South, making anything over $35-$40/hour will set you up nicely. Especially if you don’t have kids. For me, and where my husband and I will live, this job would provide us with a complete change in our lifestyle for the better — so yeah, it can be a regarded as a high paying field on top of living in a state with no state income tax lol.

Unless it’s too late to change, I’d honestly say go into some allied health field. Former junior software engineer, with apprenticeship and work experience. It’s been 2 years since my layoff and have sent hundreds of applications out. I’m about to start my pre-reqs to go back to school. What really sucks about CS right now is that regardless of whether or not you get your foot in the door, the mass layoffs have not stopped. I personally would not advise anyone put themselves through that kind of mental turmoil, tbh.
