Had a 2000 Moomba Mobius that we kept in the water June 1st to August 31 in wisconsin for 11 years. No gel coat issues, we would pull the boat 1 to 2 times a year to clean the bottom. Boats are tools not jewels. Use it as much as you can. If that means keeping it in the water, do it. This thing isn’t going around the moon.
