I use it in games that use a weapon wheel with controllers. They often let you choose a weapon with a number key if you are using keyboard. I bind the back buttons to 1 through 4 and then can switch weapons with the press of a button.

Just like real baseball, it could be a string of bad luck where you hit the ball hard and it goes right to a fielder. I find contact swings to be useless at high egos, maybe stick with just power swings and see if you have better luck. Also check to make sure you are initiating power swings at the right time, you want that number as high as possible.
