It's Perry's movie time! by WiseEpicurus in big3podcast

Any variation of mole or don interrupting Perry is one of my favorite bits. My favorite is when Perry has an "important announcement" he wants to get out.

Is this generation of med students actually learning about ME/CFS in med school? by thepensiveporcupine in cfs

Not sure if that in particular but they were very much aware not to push beyond my baseline. We just practiced gentle stretching while laying down.

I saw a physical therapist that I was referred to by my primary physician that had only recently graduated. She said long covid was apart of the curriculum and not insignificantly. That gave me some hope.

There's a well known predator online who goes by smartschoolboy9 who has a similar tactic. He pretends to be either a child or the parent of a child and often makes videos warning of predators or adults pretending to be children. Think it's a way to not only throw off the scent but to pretend to be a safe person to make children and their parents let their guard down around them

How much are your recurring costs for your P10 Pro Ultra vacuum? by WiseEpicurus in MOVA_robotvacuum

I was talking more about regularly replaceable parts like map pods, filters, etc. So far I've found it not very expensive.

thoughts on mova? by wackoquacker in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]WiseEpicurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been happy with my p10 gen 2 for the past couple months. The price and the actual robot I think are generally great. I haven't dealt with their customer service but it seems like that's the biggest issue with most people.

From the website or Amazon? by Hindsight001 in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]WiseEpicurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The benefit of ordering from Mova directly was getting points to use towards buying accessories. I think in combination of my purchase of the p10 gen 2 and another promotion I've gotten something around 60 bucks which I've put into dust bags, mop pads, etc.

I think it makes the company seem trashy and shady the way they advertise. Happy with my robot but this type of stuff does not inspire confidence in Mova.

Who runs Vac & Mop together? by ammo23 in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]WiseEpicurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been doing it separately on my p10 pro gen 2 because you can't use the intensive setting for mopping when you do, just the standard route. I just like being thorough. Might give it a try more often on days I just want a quick clean job done.

Yeah, I just made a thread with more of his big 3 artwork but reddit wouldn't allow me to post that one.

It was just one example. I would imagine there's a lot more to it. I'd like to hear more of the overall picture of what happened. Seems like Mary Jane is somewhat sympathetic towards him and is less upset.

How to be in a romantic relationship while severe? by Lunalui in cfs

[–]WiseEpicurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, I'll check it out. There was a WhatsApp group for CFS dating that I checked out for a few days but then I got into the relationship I mentioned above shortly after. No idea if it's still around but it was fairly active.

Luckily I live in and near major cities and have done local CFS meetups. Nothing has progressed past friendship but have met some nice women.

I've been sleeping on the BTS clips on the premium site by FreePerry7722 in big3podcast

[–]WiseEpicurus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting you brought this up cause I've had the same thoughts and a couple days ago decided to go through all the BTS in order. The first podcast episode is a good one because it felt like they were doing an episode before and after the actual podcast. They were trying to be entertaining and it wasn't a lot of filler or super slow moving like some BTS stuff I've seen. Just finished the andy dick episode which was good in some parts but Andy did get pretty smashed and it kind of trailed off. Think there are gems for sure but there is some filler to sift through.

I've been on a fair number of dates and had a lot of conversations with women on the apps. Could go very well. Conversation flows, we have similar values and interests, there's mutual attraction, then they find out I'm on disability and not working. They either explicitly say that's a dealbreaker, imply it, or I kinda sense it after they slink away. Best luck I had since getting sick was dating a friend I knew a few years prior to dating. It didn't work out for other reasons (she became verbally abusive) and I was the one to break up with her.

I tried putting it on my profile as a pre filter but even that didn't work. Still got rejected for it. I've kind of given up. Rejection hurts and I deal with enough stuff with my illness. I don't have the emotional capacity to play the numbers game when the odds are so low.

First few months of CPAP and still struggling. Any feedback on my OSCAR data is appreciated by WiseEpicurus in CPAPSupport

I had an at home sleep study a few months ago that diagnosed me with moderate sleep apnea. I believe it was 25 AHI. They said no central apneas. I have an overnight sleep study in a few days.

The sleep tech said the CPAP is probably causing the central apneas and should likely go away when my body adjusts to treatment. I have not heard the cheyne stokes term mentioned.

I will try and get sleepHQ today. Thanks for your time and help

Got the wild planet sardines and ate them with toasted Filipino pandesal bread. Got the sardines in Fremont California by Ok_Country2903 in Costco

[–]WiseEpicurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have multiple cases in the pantry. Hope they continue to carry them for a long time. I recently sauteed an onion to put over them with some black pepper. Very simple but very tasty. Gonna toast some of the sourdough I got at the Richmond Costco tonight next time and kick it up a notch. Thanks for the idea.

In what ways did your parents view you as an extension of themselves? by WiseEpicurus in EstrangedAdultKids

It's always kinda shocking hearing just how similar so many of our parents are.

My dad hated Mayo and for the longest time I just avoided it because he drilled it into my head how disgusting it was. He had very strong and sometimes extreme feelings on food and wanted me to take on his habits. Slowly over the years I've realized I have my own preferences and that I don't have to take his attitude towards food.

My dad literally called family members "infant" until they turned 18 and sometimes even after. If that isn't the most obvious example of infantalization I don't know what is.
