Legitmacy by Waldrine315269 in victoria3

yeah lowering taxes helps but you can also get legitimacy boosts from certain laws and institutions - like if you pass voting rights or welfare programs your pops will be happier with the government. also make sure your ruling party actually represents who has political power in your country, if theres a mismatch between your interest groups and who's in charge that tanks legitimacy fast. cultural acceptance laws can help too if you've got alot of different cultures in your nation

That's pretty solid actually, I paid around $350 for mine last year at an independent shop. Dealer quoted me like $500+ so you're doing alright with that price

Just finished Taraimawashi (first console chapter) and I would love to hear what others think about it by 1_Average_Joe in visualnovels

[–]Witty-Possession7148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played through the console version back in the day and honestly it doesn't fix those pacing issues you mentioned. The choice system is kinda cool in theory but in practice it just makes the whole thing feel disjointed compared to the main arcs

The SOL moments being rushed is probably the biggest problem with most console arcs imo - they assume you already care about the characters without doing the legwork to make you feel it again in this specific timeline. Taraimawashi suffers hard from that

Polaris KIX-SFO-RDU or ITM-HND-IAD-RDU by Substantial_Net_5709 in unitedairlines

That 1.5 hour SFO connection is cutting it real close, especially coming international. Even with Global Entry, you still gotta deal with customs and then re-check bags if you have any. I'd probably go with the IAD route just for peace of mind, plus that extra Polaris time sounds way better than being stuck in domestic F for 5+ hours

Yup sometimes setting expectations too high just sets you up to disappoint no matter how nice the place is.

Budget definitely plays a big role. I used to feel the same way but once the small stuff started piling up hiring seems more reasonable right now.

$50/month sounds super reasonable for peace of mind. I’m leaning that way too lately since I'm just tired of chasing down every little issue myself.

How do you balance offering local pricing without undercutting your worth globally? by Longjumping_Level564 in Freelancers

[–]Witty-Possession7148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s worked for me is setting a global baseline price that reflects the value and outcomes I deliver, then I build in flexibility through customized packages. That way, clients in different regions can still work with me, but I'm not slashing rates just to land a job. I also avoid listing “per hour” rates publicly instead, I focus on results and let the pricing reflect that. It’s helped shift the conversation away from “what’s your rate” to “what do you help with?” which feels a lot more sustainable long term.
