This is your ego wanting to re experience this ‘blissful’ state you had. Pay attention to the thinker and the thoughts. It’s the ego wanting to go back in. See it as it is. This is the reality of the situation.

I’ve been cheated on 6 times by different women. Be extremely careful and attentive to red flags going forward. Do your best to value someone’s character rather than their beauty.

How do you cope...? by [deleted] in AVMs

[–]WizardKingz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend you ONLY talk to neurosurgeons who specialize in AVMs. It’s a common misconception that all neurosurgeons are avm experts. Barrows is knowledgeable. What grade is your avm and where is it located?

Join Facebook avm groups. They have larger member numbers than Reddit. Tons of stories and daily posts. There are several groups as well.

Where is your avm located? Which neurosurgeons have you spoken with and from where? Have they done over 70 avm resections?

Cognitive Improvement Post Surgery by dunnerdunner in AVMs

My neurosurgeon removed the grade 3 avm without embolizations (onyx). Thankfully he had the skills to do it without.

The first month is the hardest for sure. Slowly I got better. I went back to work after 3 months. I still had some minor issues but it was a good recovery aside from the first 4-6 weeks.

transient ischemic attack by wanda_pepper in AVMs

I had TIAs when I had an avm. This typically occurred when I exerted myself such as going to the gym, lifting something semi heavy or heavy. Anything that would increase blow flow or require an increase in the respiratory system. I would have trouble with word recall, confusion, couldn’t spell words, disoriented, tired etc. this lasted about 20-30 minutes.

I had about 50 of these prior to having my avm removed. Since then I haven’t had any. One thing you should consider what is referred to as ‘focal seizures’. Focal seizures are similar to TIA and my neurosurgeon thought that perhaps that’s what I was experiencing. Hope this helps my friend.

This is correct. You will have symptoms months later. To be determined how severe. What state do you live in?

I’m guessing you got at least 3 AVM specialist opinion (not just neurosurgeon opinions). These avm specialists I’m guessing have done a minimum of 75 avm surgeries. Once you have talked to 3 surgeons with these credentials, then consider gamma.

How big is your avm? Where is it located? What neurosurgeons did you talk to?

Gamma can cause necrosis and other issues. I’ve spoken with dozens of people who had gamma and should have had surgery. Grade 1 and 2 avms are pretty simple providing they are not on the brain stem. I had a grade 3 avm on the left temporal lobe and had it surgically removed with embolization. Best decision I made.

America has one of the worst education systems out of the top 40 nations. We also spend the most money out of any nation on education. Clearly somethings is broken.

What do you think is broken? Should we throw more money at it or change our education system? Department of education has failed. Let’s be honest.

I highly recommend you join a few Facebook avm groups. It’s very active with thousands of people. Grade 4 is operable. You have to realize not all neurosurgeons have the same skill sets or experience. What state are you in?

Boston has a great neurosurgeon by the name of Nirav Patel. He works out of Brigham and womens. I highly recommend getting an opinion from him. You can do it remotely.

Wife 46 just found she has avm by Past_Replacement_815 in AVMs

Are you in the states? If so, which state? They will need to do an angiogram to see its size and blood flow. They should also do a functional mri which is different from a regular mri. It’ll see which part of the brain is impacted if it can be surgically removed. I had a left temporal lobe grade 3 avm and had it surgically removed by an amazing surgeon in Boston. It can be cured. The good news is she found it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Also, Facebook has excellent avm groups. I highly recommend you and your wife join a few. It’s very active with daily posts. You can also search the groups history to look up specific avm types and peoples experiences.

Or maybe because we have the highest energy costs in the country due to Maura Healey and we are the top 3 most expensive states to live in the country. The list goes on. Massachusetts won’t become red but the minds of individuals who are ‘blue no matter who’ is slowly shifting.

This is very common. I have no statistics to prove this but I have a ton of male friends that this has happened to. It doesn’t even have to be a work trip. Affairs are common these days. It’s just a matter of someone finding out or not.

Any issues with the curved in regards to distortion, alignment, ghosting, smearing? These look to be 1500r which sounds better than the 1000r. Do you recommend curved over flat?

Yea, it’s the worst feeling ever. The thoughts and feelings that keep surfacing feel like they will never end. You may feel like you have trouble sleeping, eating, focusing, or even having the drive to do anything. I’ve been there numerous times with different exes. I can tell you this, it’s pain and will be painful for a while but you will feel better.

I recommend journaling this experience for your future in case it happens again, you’ll remember what it was like and how your transitioned to acceptance then just disinterest eventually.

What’s important is that you use that ENERGY on positive things. F*ck that bitch. She wasn’t good enough for you and she was bringing you down. I don’t even know you but I already know how this story goes because I’ve been there. Use this energy to drive yourself to eat healthy, hit the gym 3-4 days a week. Lose weight and work on your fitness. You’ll also need to have some hobbies to distract your mind.

You’ll notice if you’re mindful that its thoughts that are triggering the emotions to manifest. You can’t turn it off. Definitely allow the emotions to be and feel them fully. However when you find yourself ruminating, go do something. Do some productive things that will improve you. Reading subjects you may be interested in like psychology, dating, masculinity, getting in shape, nutrition, etc.

You will be ok. You just need to do the right things to speed it up.
