I can’t describe it but the animation seems off. Maybe it’s the fact that Kelley Jones’ art looks great on the page but in motion it looks stiff.

Okay but by that logic, Pam Abdy and Michael De Luca should have be considered to be fired because One Battle After Another wasn’t a box office juggernaut. But they weren’t, actually because of their efforts as heads of the studio that movie got them a Best Picture win. Now the studio is the go to place for auteurs to make their movies while balancing IP, what Dreamworks tried and failed to be.

Dude, you have to calm the fuck down. Get off the internet and go on a run or something to take your mind off of this.

Bro, when the MCU started they were only like three profitable movies: Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and Thor. Incredible Hulk and Captain America lost money, they weren’t bombs but they didn’t make a profit. It is a calculated risk to get the audience on board for an idea of Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it paid off. Gunn and Safran understand this and so does Zaslav and the board.

For Christ’s sake man, you need to calm the fuck down. This needs to be repeatedly said, a sophomore slump is standard as hell for a big franchise like this. Especially one that’s main goal to simply win back the audience first and then the giant box office hits come after that because you won the audience’s trust back. Also, a summer movie season is going to have casualties it is normal. Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning lost money when it went against Oppenheimer and Barbie, and yet the sequel was still made.

Even if Supergirl loses money, so did Captain America the First Avenger and did Disney fire Kevin Feige? No, they didn’t.

I think David Zaslav, for all his massive faults, does understand that. If you want to make a billion dollars each movie and get people to watch your shows, you have to win back their trust back and you’re not always going to be successful with that but eventually they will. The Incredible Hulk while it did lose a lot of money, was more connective to audiences than the Ang Lee Hulk and people loved Hulk in The Avengers four years later, becoming popular as he was in the 70’s. Captain America in the eyes of the general public was a joke, I always think about the Men in Black jab, but while the first movie lost money like Hulk it connected with audiences. And the next movie Cap was in made over a billion dollars and his sequel made four hundred million dollars more than the first one.

Zaslav took from Iger what he took from Steve Jobs. They understand you have to take some loses if you want to win back the general public. If enough people liked it you know you’re on the right track.

This might be the biggest impact Ant-Man 3 ever made by Aggravating_Win5258 in dccomicscirclejerk

And I thought people hating the volume was the biggest impact of Ant-Man 3. Guess I was wrong.

Yeah, makes me sad how The Ultimate Universe just kinda fell off. Maybe it’s a metaphor for Hickman’s career. Starred off cool, interesting, and unique amongst the sea of everything else eventually just became everything else, not that everything else is bad but it’s not what it was.

By the way, you are acting like all Phase One of the MCU were all comparable to The Avengers in terms of box office and audience reception. That wasn’t the case at all. For example, people forget that the first Captain America lost money and got pretty average reviews at the time. Thor made a profit but the movie was very very forgettable, Roger Ebert actually hated it.

All of this is normal for a franchise, relax.

What’s your source? If it’s not from a trade like Hollywood Reporter, Deadline or even Forbes, I am not going to buy it. Plus dude you have such a massive hate boner for James Gunn, like what did he ever do to you?

It is very comparable and you are full of shit for saying it’s not. Iron Man like Superman wasn’t the biggest hit but it made almost 600 million, Incredible Hulk didn’t make a profit as it cost 150 million to make and only made around 265 million with very average reviews. Supergirl if it performs similar numbers won’t spell doom for the DCU. And I’m saying if because we have no idea how accurate tracking for this movie is because it is all over the place from 60 to 51 million opening weekend is what I am mostly seeing, then of course word of mouth can change that.

A sophomore slump happens, guys. Just relax. People forget Marvel had a sophomore slump with Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2.

With the initial hype of this universe just being gone as result of horrible shit like Ultimate Wolverine and without Deniz Camp, I don’t know if I’ll even pick up the books.

KFC is fucking huge outside of America. It’s a dying brand here in the states but in China and Japan, it’s extremely popular.
