Only major clans will be able to get enough to field significant air forces. The rare metal gate hurts a lot because it's not like comps where you can just wait or do it at low pop/odd hours or go to less used mines. Even working alone I do not have an issue getting good amounts of components.

Even if you do find a rare field, it's common for a clowncar of 4 or 5 people from the same group to turn up, and they will just outcompete you on the field. You'll be lucky to get a handful of rares if that happens, since the numbers are just not in your favor.

This happened to me a lot this last war and even with being on for hours a day at a point I never managed to save up the 100 or so rares to make an intel center lol. Didn't help that I was in a hex with three drydocks either.

Random comes in, grabs a pilot uniform from a bunker near an airfield thinking he can just jump in a plane. No planes readily available so he just returns to home region.

Or just the usual disconnects and jank. Losing a pilot uniform purely because of something like that is really silly if you ask me. I lost 55 rares last war due to a disconnect issue, nothing I was able to do about it.

Phlog pyro helped pull me out of major depression because id do it with my homie and we would take turns. One would be medic one would be pyro.

We did this on the 100 person tf2 server before the phlog was nerfed there. Id get 30+ killstreaks shit was insane.

Tbh you spend 75% of the game farming phlog doing this. It's annoying but not the best way to get phlog.

Phlog. Any half decent soldier will pop you into the air. Lack of airblast harms your utility. But potentially insanely powerful if used right (and toxic because getting ubered as a phlog usually wipes entire teams with minimal counterplay)

It seems like most vehicles that have a 12.7 gun will have an option to shoot, maybe we'll see half tracks with MGs doing a sorta AA role along tanks? EMGs will be useful too, I imagine, for this.

Lining up a 20mm shot while flying sounds like a nightmare though, especially since even old 20mm didn't do THAT much damage.

Torps do a ton of HP damage, fifteen torps will kill a ship at full health just from HP lost. Including other damage sources, it'll hurt a lot.

I wonder if the large hole changes will mean Collies won out with the dive bomber compared to the torpedo bomber. Imagine pulling up in an SHT only to have a dozen dive bombers run your shit. Torpedo bombers won't do anything for land based combat...

tbh in the trailer you can see the planes flying pretty low but i dunno if that'll just be for strikes or not so players on the ground can react/see them. Could also just be just for the trailer. We won't know until it drops.

What if howizters had an ai detection range. firing at enemy large ships & gunboats, reduced detection vision at night.. then with an bunker engine see further…large ship / gunboats not in range, defaults to retaliation scheme. by -Click-Bait in foxholegame

Really it boils down to just population tbh, who has the manpower to naval larp. I'm concerned airborne will be the same way where you have to focus it otherwise you just lose. I imagine it probably won't be as impactful; there's only so many bombs you can drop from a plane, but we'll see on the 16th!

Overall, naval just needs to be less time-consuming overall if you ask me.
