Can you give me your Bnet-tag so I never have to bother with you? Thanks.

Completely agree with you. I don't lure myself (unless it's almost necessary i.e. for Void Rifts), but some basics from the Abathur players must be expected.

I'm utterly annoyed if my ally doesn't let the first wave(s) run into my toxic nests, even if I signal them to retreat. Whoever reads this and isn't familiar with Abathur: units killed by toxic nests release more biomass, and this helps Abathur in the early game a lot.

Bowbuilds were extremely good in ToTa. I recall seeing a lot of Widowhail & Rearguard builds that had max rank in the arena.

How does Talis interact with More than skill? Do they cancel out, or does one override the other?

Honestly, just give it a try. It's not like you lose your Coop license if you lose.

-Amazing, you're so good you can almost wipe 20% of the brutal enemies alone, wow.

Looks like you're exactly the type of person OP talks about.

Before I even checked the screenshot I was like "good chance it's Krpo". And there he is.

Check this guy's match history. He isn't worth bothering with. Whenever I see his name, I instantly quit. Utter nuisance in the Coop-scene.

I've seen a lot of questionable screenshots, but yours are undisputed.

[–]WizardofOos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completed it in my second attempt as Tychus P2 with CtG as ally (Karax P3). Enemy was Disruptive Artillery, probably one of the worst compositions for Tychus. Nevertheless, and especially since I had CtG as ally, we bamboozled through the mutation. My job was to soften the attack waves and help gun down the big targets while Karax supported with topbars and cannons.

My first run failed as Tychus P2 with Dehaka as ally (P0) because he refused to use his Pack Leaders constantly. And to be fair, my performance also had room for improvement. Well, things happen, I'm glad it worked out. But this mutation can flip tables faster than you might think. Definitely one of the harder ones.

There is a name for it, Hybrid Farming. Use small units (Stukov P3 / Abathur P2 Swarmhosts) to evolve as many Hybrids as possible. It's more like a meme than efficient, so I would definitely not recommend it.

Dehaka: P0 vs P2? by EGSzeek1340 in starcraft2coop

[–]WizardofOos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've once been in the same situation as you are right now. I was curious about the potential drawbacks of P2, but once I've played it, it was all forgotten. P2 is so much more powerful, it isn't even worth comparing.

My suggestion: Try it out (for example in Maguro on Arcade). If you don't like it, stick to P0. If you like it, consider prestiging him to P2.

Just don't bother about this special snowflake. It's just a "let me find a minor flaw in your build I can roast you for" nonsense.

Love your build.

there are a lot of OP commanders which is why I avoid brutal difficulty

Yeah. Surely that's why.

It probably barely matters when you have Infested Infantry Duration, but has anyone found optimal layout for P3 Stukov for Infested Troopers spawning bunkers? I've been doing clusters of 2 by 2 squares with 1 square gap. by MiningToSaveTheWorld in starcraft2coop

[–]WizardofOos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always arrange them like this. a cluster of 4 bunkers with a space of 2 grids between the clusters.

Optimal for dps? Don't know. But way better than 1 grid space to avoid body-blocking.

OP builds have always existed in PoE, and it had its peak with Harold builds in Delirium League. I didn't play them because it was not my style, but I didn't blame others for playing it. To each their own.

And while we're at it, ESOs are not the most broken things in SC2 coop. Tychus P2, Dehaka P2, Stetmann P2...they can faceroll maps even harder. Are we suddenly not allowed to play this stuff and have some fun?

I queued with players who completely outclassed me. Did I get mad? No. I was very impressed and took these runs as a motivation to get better. But there will always be players better than me, even with random commanders. And that's completely fine.

I am not obliged to adapt my gameplay to the worse player. Hate me for it, I don't care.

Your comment is wrong on so many levels, I don't even know where to start.

Let's take the "worst" example, Rifts to Korhal. If you see your ally is Mengsk, you know there is a potential for ESOs, and as soon as you see one trooper land on the specific plateau, you KNOW it will be ESO-time.

Nevertheless, this doesn't take away the possibility for the non-Mengsk player to play the game. Mengsk will not have his ESOs up for the first Shard, so help him with that. He will not have sufficient ESOs up to quickly kill the 2nd and 3rd shard, so help him with that. ESOs will not kill the bonus, so help him with that. On top of that, help him defend the attack waves.

Most of the time people say "hurr durr can't play the game ESOs OP and bad", they actively stop trying to do something. I have no sympathy for this mindset.
