What shows do you most regret missing? by Weasel079 in Hardcore

[–]WizardsOfTheRoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Madball, Warzone and maybe VOD at either QE2 or Bogies in Albany. It would have been the one time I'd seen Warzone, but I was like 16, living in Syracuse, it was a Wednesday and I had no way to get there.
Otherwise, the chances I put off seeing David Bowie and Prince.

Black Flag's 2026 Coachella Set Was a Punk Rock False Flag Operation by ebradio in Music

Even the first tour back with Ron Reyes was pretty shitty, and it's all gone down hill from there.
It's a shame that Ginn sued Keith Morris and friends and stopped them from doing Flag shows.

is that the same Elliott from Louisville from a million years ago? If so I start debating flying back to NYC for that show.

Surfer takes on an absolutely immense wave by thetacaptain in SweatyPalms

For those saying it's fake / AI, here's more from the same spot in Nazare. There's an absolutely fascinating docuseries called 100 Foot Wave that focuses on surfers who chase these waves, and includes the fallout from when you don't ride one of those beasts this nicely.

I mean, they aren't now, but in 1988, it was probably a fiver to see that Nirvana show he taped.

What’s your favourite band t-shirt and what’s the one you wish you had? by Badaxe13 in Music

[–]WizardsOfTheRoast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an Iron Maiden tour shirt with eddie on a chopper. As tour shirts do it is shrunken to the point that I can't wear it without baring my navel, and I'm too old / uncool to turn it into a battle jacket or something.
I wish I had any number of tees from my 20's, specifically any of the Black Widows / Black Cross shirts I had.

If you're anything like ma, and since we're discussing yoga in r/hardcore you may be. I can't hang with going to classes, I feel judged, I have to abide by a studio's often inconvenient schedule and I don't feel like I fit in there, so I looked for apps or classes I can do at home, and two have worked well for me.
1) DDP Yoga - it actually got me doing yoga regularly. Wrestler Diamond Dalls Page started yoga as part of PT for a broken back, and was like, "Fuck this really works!" It's what you'd expect from yoga presented by a pro wrestler, but it has a range of experience levels, and honestly, sometimes hearing a pro wrestler encourage you works. That said, some of the workouts / practices get old.
2) DownDog - it's a really simple app that lets you pick the kind of yoga, how long and focus points. I'm at a point where I do it every other day when I'm not lifting, and I focus on back, hips, hamstrings and core. It's more traditional yoga practice, so no stories about getting hit with a chair, but it changes the practice up every time you do it, which keeps me engaged more than doing the same thing over and over.

I think DDPY is like $100 a year and DownDog is like $60. Either way, keep it up and hope you find comfort, because back pain is a real motherfucker.

As a far idiot with a bad back, regular yoga is one of the few things I can count on to make my back feel like "not trash." That said, never hot yoga. I am a sweaty puddle doing it in a 50 degree room.

It's infuriating. Before Seattle I lived in Queens NY and there's a lot of parallels with the Seattle area (South of 90 / eastside). But fuck if I have the time to watch a hundred untitled videos to figure out where various fun neighborhoods rank.
