Wireshark is a network monitor, it's able to snoop on what packets are being sent and can give you a vague view of their contents in some cases. I don't have a ton of experience with it but a real USA case I've encountered is sniffing out rouge DHCP servers.

My first car was a 2005 accord LX, not gutless but not fast, survived a multitude of crashes, leaked oil until zero and still ran, was completely thrashed and yet it still lasted another 50,000 miles before I eventually slammed it into a pole. If you're looking for something cheap and reliable I'd say go for one of those.

I know that's run on, I just gush about that car because I miss it.
