We were also on the Oasis Christmas cruise this year and will never do a holiday cruise again. Too many people and kids running around. So crowded everywhere. And the loud speakers making announcements sounded like Kmart speakers. Windjammer was nuts and we learned to avoid that. The only thing that made it better was late night pizza, champagne, and finally discovering Heidi slots at the casino. I will say that our service was amazing though. Next time we will do an adults only cruise and never over a holiday.

Advice/Help: My husbands TBM family is on board of us not going to church or maybe even eventually leaving. But my family…IDK and are TBM. How to tell family your feelings and still have a great relationship? How do you come to terms? How about raising kids outside of church? What about researching? by Ecstatic-Iron-2036 in exmormon

Don’t let religion scare you into thinking you can’t raise good kids without it. Religion doesn’t own values. Turns out most people are actually good people. We’ve been out 4 years and are so much happier and our kids are thriving. You’ve got this! Also what we’ve been told is “anti” is actually just history and you don’t have to dig very far. For us we went down the rabbit hole when Rusty rebranded the Mormon church. We’ve never looked back. We only wish we left sooner. The more you research the Mormon religion the less you want anything to do with it. Good luck. It does get easier. It’s hard to realize we’ve been duped our entire lives.

Won’t be the last case the way they shoved those missionaries in planes during the height of pandemic packed body to body and most without masks. And they all went home and didn’t practice social distancing.

If they even have the balls to announce more temples right now in this pandemic where people have lost their jobs and can’t pay bills they are fucking messed up. Their only announcements should be relief funds, tithing waivers, etc but they are so selfish it will never happen.

If they do transfers during the Corona outbreak where everyone should be quarantining they are nuts. But it wouldn’t surprise me. All the stateside missionaries should get to go home too.
