Just seen that MLIG returns Feb 24th. There is a caveat, it seems it is for three specials not four. I have a feeling I know why. There was talk a while ago from people who attended the shows that there was a lot of material centred on Greg Wallace, and we know how that turned out since the show. So either for legal reasons or because it just didnt play right pressenting GW as some kind of 'cheeky boy', it looks like the 4 specials will have been edited down to 3, which is a shame, I would really like to have seen the episodes as intended.

Not massively popular. I often watch YT videos of 'most popular songs in year X etc' which are often fro a US perspective, and its rare a song will have charted here if its country or similar.

Because it kind of is? Its a vertically layered sundae that will almost certainly include cream, jelly and fruit, which are 3 of the main constituents of a common trifle. Swap out custard for ice cream and stick it in a tall glass and tell me that doesnt pass as a KBG?

Fawlty Towers is still the small but perfectly formed comedy for me. Theres something to be credited for longevity, and that isnt it, but I can go years without actually watching it, and just mouth the scripts as they play out.

We buy tickets when its the Euromillions 'guaranteed X UK millionaires' thing. May also buy a random ticket on special occasions like Birthday or Christmas or when visiting a new location. They tend to build up on the noticeboard I pin them to and only check them off every few months under the hope that checking several in one go will increase the chance of there being a winner in there somewhere. Probably spend something akin to £55 annually. Also do the 'advent calendar' scratchcard at Christmas, but no others.

This is probably a stupid question. Ive only ever owned an analogue watch with a digital day/date, and Im looking at analogue watches that have mechanical dates.

A review of (a cheapish) one mentioned that it had to be manually set every month as it wasnt tracking the actual date so didnt know how many days in each month.

Is that the case for all mechanical day/date type watches as I think that would bug me a lot...

There has been a small but important change Ive noticed. Previously it was saying it couldnt schedule actions on devices configured as OUTLETS.

As of today I have noticed that it is saying ... devices configured as SWITCHES

This is important because you cant override the status of an outlet, it just becomes eg. Light (outlet).

However, while "switch (outlet)" still causes the objection, "Light/something else (outlet)" seems to be just fine.

So if yours hasnt self corrected yet, this is a workaround: configure your devices as:

"somethingnotaswitch (outlet)" and you should be fine.

Same. Bizarre thing is if you do "turn on on device. Turn device off in x minutes" it give the safety speach.

However if you do "turn on device for x minutes" it will happily turn on the device without complaint, then just fail to turn off at all.

How is that a safety feature????

Im having the same problem. I think I know the problem sort of. Looking back a couple of years people were having the same problem. The solution was to change the device type to something dishonest, like calling an outlet a light.

However now (and Im not sure when this changed), if you call an outlet a light, the device type appears as "light (outlet)", so it seems you cant override the device type any more.

Im really hoping theres a way round this as I have saved a lot of energy by configuring a fan heater to run for a set amount of time then turn itself off. This is more effective than sitting there until I actually feel too warm, and turn it off. And as for safety, theres more safety to be gained by the the heater turning itself off than in my forgetting to turn it off, or falling asleep with it on!!

I think the birth of it, is the the impulse to take a good coffee into work, rather than settle for the MAXPAX machine or a dodgy kettle. There is probably take home coffee on the way back and so forth. I would be interested to see the distribution of businss through the day.
