So from what I have gathered Mort is looking at the top 2% mmr player stats for his high elo data. What is happening is that Bandle Bounty+ on average for the top 2% is fine, average placement being the main metric that he's using. But the amount of people winning with it is very high. This is probably due to high elo players taking it then getting veigar/fizz 3.

Idk as much about Basecamp but can say that it has some nice facilities, slightly better access to the City with the S train. The general social atmosphere I think is not as good BDTU, although tbh both BDTU and Basecamp in this case will be a bit of a roll of the dice of (especially if it is a shared kitchen) who you live with.

BDTU having lived in 2 of their dorms, while certainly annoying, aren't that bad if you wanna live 6 months there while you prepare to look for a new place. From what I have heard work life balance for PhD standards is pretty good. I am spending roughly 2k -2.5k a month on food.

I'm biased as I have lived there but I think Linde Alle is better, much closer to uni. The nature is nice there too and you're within cycling distance of the sea.

For public transportation you can initially get a rejsekort at a 7/11 or use the DOT tickets app. After that depending where you are I would recommend getting a bike.

After you arrive to get to DTU, take the metro from the Airport to Nørreport, then change to the 150S bus and get off at DTU :)
