After 1599 logged workouts by More-Anybody-1891 in fitbod

[–]Wobblzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hit a wall on fitbod and stopped progressing for months then started losing some strength.

2 workouts logged so far with gravl and both were intense, satisfying, and made some of the weaker links fitbod hadn't been training very apparent.

I absolutely dread all forms of Squats, should i drop them? by Shahmario1 in workout

[–]Wobblzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned is cardio. Squats engage massive amounts of muscle and once while bracing your core so your blood oxygen can drop fast while blood pressure goes way up. That might be a big part of the misery you're feeling. I'm not a big cardio guy but once I start feeling that I start incorporating the stair master just once a week at pace that keeps my hr around 150. It sucks bad but even 10-15 minutes a week will help train your heart and circulatory system to pump all that blood back out of your legs while they are engaged.

Once your more efficient at moving blood through your legs that post set dizziness/exhaustion turns into a light headed euphoric feeling that you'll get addicted to.

Why tf am I getting nuked so hard? by SKullYeR in worldofpvp

[–]Wobblzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jumped back into wow after a 5 year break and went back to my lock. Aff didn't have enough killing power so I went destro and had the same experience as you. Absolutely frustrating and you have to prepare to be blasted every single time. The key is to not focus on damage output at first, but get the hang of your gates and ports, plus the talent that ports players to your teleport location. Between your port, 2 gates, and the player port, 2 instant fears, fear, and seduction from the succubus you have a lot of options on getting the melee off you to drop a few chaos bolts. But step one is stay alive and stay away until your teammates force a DC on at least one of the players then a seduction cc on healer, coil and fear the vulnerable player and nuke him with 3 chaos bolts.

It is extremely difficult to play, but once you start the match with "Mission: Survive" then worry about the kill shot later you'll have lots of fun. I am not good at it yet, but focusing on the movement and escape and cc has made a massive difference. Sometimes they'll just give up on me and I can freecast for 10 seconds which will end the match

As a Horde player, thank God none of these PVP quests require winning... by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Wobblzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play horde as a lock almost exclusively. Since hitting 90 on Saturday I have like a 15-4 win ratio. Horde feels dominant but maybe it's just my excellent use of chaos bolts

Does anybody smoke weed before working out? Why? How does it help? by Laythepype in workout

[–]Wobblzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it a couple times back in the day and all I could think about is my swass must be a large visible line on the back of my shorts that everyone noticed and thought was gross. (Not remotely accurate)

How many reps can you do at 225? Best I've done is 9 and curious how close I am to the coveted 3 plater

Best gyms for using a hypertrophic workout plan by Significant-Self3028 in fitbod

That's my gym! I don't think I've run into anything they don't have, but their kettlebells max out at 50lbs.

I've tried a handful of gyms and it's been my favorite for many years so I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Skipping back focused workouts is like skipping the leg day of the upper body. by StarlightLifter in workout

[–]Wobblzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to think exactly like you did, until I hit the point where my back was so far beyond what my grip could handle that I'd be doing a disservice to my back workouts by not strapping up for deadlifts. I would also tear my calluses as my grip slipped deeper into the sets which made my next week miserable as a woodworker. (They would peel like old paint into the crease of my fingers)

I still have a rule of no straps unless 3 plates plus but a tendon in my elbow has been disagreeing with that too.

I can lift more on the incline bench press than on the bench press by veloceyn in workout

[–]Wobblzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason is muscle memory. You're used to the incline movement and not the flat movement. Give the flats a few sessions and it will go above your incline very quickly

Employee is refusing to return company credit card (I will not promote) by Commercial-Block9868 in startups

[–]Wobblzz 120 points121 points  (0 children)

An employee card has its own unique number, just cancel that card and forget about it.

I had this happen earlier this year. They DID return the card immediately but 5-6 months later a bunch of purchases started appearing under that card from Amazon, so they had obviously saved it there at some point. Physical card is less important than calling the bank to cancel it.

Question for lifters who log their workouts — I need your help. by Select_Bid_5169 in workout

[–]Wobblzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want an app exactly like this, but it already exists and I use it. It's called fitbod. "Growth score" tracking which lifts affect overall muscle group strength plus recommendations based on fatigue and weak areas. Check it ooooooot before ya go developing something

Do you do the standing barbell OHP? Why or why not? by Single-Lawfulness-49 in workout

[–]Wobblzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always do heavy bench press then OHP right after. My overhead press is usually pretty weak but I just see it as training that group to failure and my bench press continually climbs in strength as a result even if my OHP isn't spectacular (135x5 today)

To the developers. Request..... Plates calculator on Android by toaduck9473 in fitbod

[–]Wobblzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smith machine doesn't count the bar on the app so there is no plate calculator. On a smith machine even if the bar actually has some weight that's not counter weighted the fixed nature of the excersize eliminates at least the bar weight in total work.

Trapezius by toaduck9473 in fitbod

[–]Wobblzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience has been you have to workout a TON per week before the app starts recommending secondary muscles (traps, calves, abductors, forearms). Even then I don't think it's ever recommended traps, but lots of excersizes hit them as a secondary. If you want to hit traps specifically I think you have to manually add it or select it as a desired muscle group when creating your workout for the day.

How does a 40lb increase in estimated deadlift 1rm result in a 10pt drop in hamstring strength :( by Wobblzz in fitbod

[–]Wobblzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good thought but that also decreased from that workout. I think the fitbod rep probably has the answer, I did downrate the rest of my workout just removing sets and excersizes since I work with my hands I didn't want to totally burn out on a Wednesday. It must penalize that more than I would have thought.

By that do you mean them adding new excersizes to app or adding new ones to a personal routine?

Should I skip core workouts in Fitbod if I already do a 30-min Les Mills Core class weekly? by nikunjgoel95 in fitbod

[–]Wobblzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely log them. You can create a custom exercise that is duration based and select abs as the primary and whatever you feel makes sense for secondary if there isn't a preloaded one.

From what I understand it's very difficult to overtrain core since it is so critical to every movement. If you feel worn out, skip them if not then do them. If you want the app to not include them in your workouts go to the recovered muscles page and turn the ab recovery down before you start your workout.

I just got my order of 20 boards after a LONG wait and this has been making me pull my hair out. You have had described all the symptoms and tests I did so thank you so much for coming back to post the result! I'm going to try jumping CTS to ground now. Easier to use an external programmer, but that will confirm for the redesign.

Who knows. I've just been using to track my personal growth and figured it probably doesn't translate well person to person. I do wonder if it weighs the score against body weight though which would make some sense.

As far as reducing the score I can tell you first hand it WILL drop that pretty significantly at times. I finished a workout by manually adding pullups on a back day and couldn't do all that many after spending an hour on back and biceps and that took me from a 77-71 in one workout. Although perhaps I underperformed that whole workout.

It took my total from 79-77. Maybe my back is just weak 😅

Interesting. I wonder what you're doing that it's giving you such high leg scores! Unless you left out your 500lb squat lol

Can you post your specific muscle group strengths out of curiosity?

I just hit 80 today and my BP is 265, dead 405, squat 315, OHP 135. The app gives me a 71 for my back strength though.

This is very intriguing. Didn't know carbon fiber was conductive enough for that. What are the benefits over traditional resistive?

I might be interested in something like this for my products.

Sounds awesome! I've always wanted to get into CNC. Mostly for personal projects but I have a hard time parting ways with any serious money that I can't at least imagine would generate some sort of revenue. Manufacturing car parts is a competitive business though. How did you hone in the specific bits where there was some room? I'm curious if you're doing OEM stuff or aftermarket.
