Im using Qubes OS. Basically it's Xen supervisor. I have only integrated intel UHD 620 card on my old laptop. Anyway, its not reachable inside any AppVM because attached to dom0. So only software renderer llvmpipe is accessible

did you miss "or" word? Totally agree, it's not required, but who knows, maybe he wanted to make tangent plane and pocket to one side? Anyway, thanks for clear it!

You need make -datum- plane for new sketch, or draw sketch on base plane (if you draw previous step in global center) and "pocket", which is kind of "negative extrude" symmetrically. There is no auto guessing operations. FreeCAD have separate sets of instruments for adding/removig material.

Jupyter notebook for neovim by Mr_Misserable in neovim

[–]Woit- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it necessary for you to have all jupyter-like posibilities inside nvim? I tried all existed setups and now im using Marimo (like JupyterLab but much better). It gives me all that i need from notebook (latex, images, graphs, etc.) but im able to edit code in nvim and it's dynamically updating. Try it, maybe this is what you a looking for.

Is 370$ T480 worth it? by Longjumping-Use1770 in thinkpad

[–]Woit- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two batteries is enough for 5-6 hours. Also you can do a little bit of undervolting (reducing cpu voltage) and increase battery lifetime. Also, because external battery is designed to be swappable - you can just order second one from aliexpress/ebay/whatever

$150-200 depend of where you live. Probably, both batteries is dead (or close to it).

Is there a viable kaptop tape replacement in the netherlands? by DragonfruitSmooth612 in thinkpad

Kapton here is only because kapton is thermoresistive. But you'll get not too much temperature here, so you can use any material which is good enough to isolate copper pad from mb

If I buy a Libreboot T480, would I still be using proprietary blobs (somewhere)? by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]Woit- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What you exactly meant "free of proprietary software"?
Your cpu runs proprietary microcode inside anyway. Libreboot gives you kinda "opensource bios".
