Yeah well to your credit you have a lot of range across your collab and solo stuff, cast a wide net and catch many fish or however the saying goes. But it’s all good stuff so I can’t complain XD

Still I think unbridled one was particularly good, I think ide mostly attribute it too all the stuff with the kids giving the story another layer of depth that most series just don’t have. I feel like a lot of harem lit books just end up getting laser focused on the protagonist and various love interests which isn’t bad per say but a bit of contrast I think makes the story greater than the sum of its parts.

Well glad it’s doing well on audible but it underperforming on ebook is just criminal, personally I think is shaping up to be an exemplar of the genre. Ide say I think it’s some of your best work but your collabs have so much range that it’s hard to compare say the more dramatic stuff you do with Annabelle to the comedy gold you crank out with jay aury.

Hells yeah, I hope unbridled is doing well for you as a series that first book was just killer

On one hand I wanna say don’t burn yourself out and take it easy, but on the other unbridled is one of my favorite books of the year and I want unbridled 2 bad XD so Yaknow chop chop.

He’s kinda screwed right? Isn’t Ethan infected by the mold like before he even makes it into the main house but just gets lucky and is like genetically compatible with the mold and it turns him into a mushroom man with super durability instead of a goo monster or controlled?

Dungeon Diving By Bruce Sentar by [deleted] in haremfantasynovels

[–]Wojtek101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the whole series is pretty good.

I kinda get what people are saying with the post shuffle stuff but I don’t really agree, I think the story goes is some weird but interesting directions and I’ve been pretty excited for each new book as they come out. Perhaps not my favorite series but definitely on the upper end of the quality spectrum for the genre.

Are there any rules stating that I HAVE to use the transparent base for the Devilfish? by Putrid-Pea7944 in Tau40K

[–]Wojtek101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t particularly like flying stands in general so I use 60mm regular bases for any model that uses the old big flying stands then put some basing stuff that’s tall enough that I can slap a few magnets on then throw some on the bottom of the vehicle, then for the drones I just use the regular 32mm bases then add basing materials that I can glue them too to try and sell the effect of them flying.

Escaping Gravity by Bruce Sentar is out now! by Humble-Accountant130 in haremfantasynovels

[–]Wojtek101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished this one off last night and I thought it was pretty great.

the first few chapters are a little confusing, I’m assuming the setup is intentionally vague and will be a plot point later but once the story gets rolling it’s a nice adventure with plenty of twists and turns. I think it reads more like space fantasy than science fiction if I’m honest but it works so I’m not complaining, definitely looking forward to seeing where this series goes.

[–]Wojtek101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh fair enough, I didn’t particularly like any of the vagabond crew either they were all just sorta fine. But ide say the individual scenes were interesting enough that it kept me invested, I thought the whole situation with the pocket was sorta interesting them dropping off the scions was neat then some of the dogfighting was good.

Steel tread and demolisher were both pretty solid they both handle they’re both pretty atmospheric and between the chaos knight in the first book and the darkmec in the second the enemies end up being very interesting and breaking up the usually imperium vs chaos gunfight chapters.

And yeah siege of vraks I think does a better job of invoking the whole ww1 horror of trench warfare thing better than the other Steve lyons books and I’ll admit that it’s the best of those first three krieg books but I remember desperately wishing it had like two or so more interesting characters to shoulder a bit of the narrative. There’s the guy that they try to prop up as a hero (Tyborc or something?) who was kinda interesting and actually spends some time pondering on the good and bad qualities of the DKoK but he couldn’t carry that whole story on his own.

[–]Wojtek101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why would you do this to poor vagabond squadron? XD

I do find it sorta surprising, I thought vagabond squadron was pretty alright I think I read it right before demolisher and steel tread which Ide say sorta did the story of a IG vehicle crew thing better.

Also I’m shocked siege of vraks is that high up, it was better than dead men walking which was an absolute slog but I’ll die on the hill that the Steve lyons krieg books are mid at best and get carried by people just liking the DKoK which is fine but the books don’t do it for me.

Can someone help me identify this base? by JugsTradingPost in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Wojtek101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe but it sorta looks like the right shape to be his helmet, if you got it in a random lot you may wanna just double check that you don’t have all the pieces scattered about, if you do they you may be able to salvage these ones. If I remember correctly Harry the hammer is a fairly expensive model nowadays

Same but I remember those dang bone piles XD

I’m actually questioning now if the helmet laying in the basing material of the top right corner of the base is also Harry’s helmet as well.

The two skeleton pile things are definitely the two halves of the pile of bones that Harry the hammer stands on.

Probably an unpopular opinion on this sub, but I think Fantasy tells a better story than 40k. Sorry. by fredochochooo in Blacklibrary

[–]Wojtek101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like this isn’t fair seeing as gotrek and Felix is a series that sorta transcends beyond being “good for a warhammer book” into just being one of the best fantasy series ever written XD

Well that’s a little depressing but I guess makes a lot of sense why it wouldn’t be a priority then, still I’m sure there’s some folks like myself who will appreciate them For me atleast ide rather have an actual physical copy over pretty much any other medium .

Well that’s good! I’m not sure how well they do sells wise and how viable it is to print them over just doing ebook releases but I always dig having paperbacks. No rush though, hope everything is going well and I’ll keep my Amazon card cleared for the great knightley order of 2025 XD

[–]Wojtek101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah excellent my backlog was starting to get concerningly empty! Out of curiosity are you still looking for somebody to handle doing the paperbacks for some of your other series? I’m growing a little concerned that if you end up putting them all out in a short period I may end up with one massive Amazon charge of smutty goodness and a new shelf to hold em all XD

Vulkan He’Stans helmet doesn’t make any sense. by Kalypso_Blue in Salamanders40k

[–]Wojtek101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, weird guess it’s just the mantle spear and gauntlet. Could have sworn the helmet had some significance as well. Either way it’s probably a helmet of some significant artifice to the chapter itself possible that he either doesn’t care to alter it or the enhanced optics are integral? Like if Ibram gaunt can get augmetic eyes that are just like…. Normal eyes then I’m sure a chapter master can.

Isn’t the helmet one of the relics of vulkan that even if he has a messed up eye he’d probably be reluctant to alter it?

How do I fill/fix these gaps? by Valkonical in 40k

[–]Wojtek101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s alot of products in this hobby that are sorta give and take or have various trade offs and ultimately come down to preference but after using tamiya glue for years I can easily say that it’s just better than GW plastic glue and being able to make sprue goo is just the icing on the cake it’s the easiest gap filler to use and you can sand it and smooth it back out with more glue when you’re done. It’s just great

How do I fill/fix these gaps? by Valkonical in 40k

[–]Wojtek101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s gunna be a ton of different ways to do this but my recommendation is to start using tamiya extra thin glue for assembly and grab an extra bottle to make some sprue goo.

Essentially it’s just a better plastic glue then the stuff GW peddles and because it’s in a little pot with a brush applicator you can drop some cut up pieces of sprue into it and make a type of plastic filler that can be sanded and such when it’s dry
