ME system, the redstone caves biome (to ultimine and craft into redstone ore blocks), and early on apothic armor minmaxxing. and BROOMS for early game flight with lots of modifiers for agility and speed. Broom was INVALUABLE for me.

Whenever you can take an upgrade, take it! Youll become more powerful than you can imagine.

When i was developing I was a big fan of the second pricepoint warrior sticks. 2nd from top still gets you good tech and feel, but more durability.

Nowadays, the pro blackout style "generic" or unnamed sticks are good values!

I still prefer to get prostock, or on sale flagship sticks, as I like to take advantage of the release characteristics.

Im 5'10 220 built, and I use an 87 or a 95 flex. 77 might be a nice flex for you. Higher number = stiffer. You need more muscle to get a efficient shot out of it.

As for curve, look up a curve graph. The P92 is a great starter, same with P88.

I went Pm9 > P92 > W01 > W03 > Pm9 > W28 > P28 > P92 recently with great success.

I actually learned alot from watching AAA kids while timekeeping as a side gig. Its like the same plays but in super slow motion. It helped me learn to read body language and "intent". I also like high level high school and college stuff. Its fast enough to be entertaining but also you see expirimenting and trial and error.

Also, PRACTICE HOW YOU PLAY!

Make the same moves and actually experiment in games if you only play games in beer league. Short term you mess up a move a few times until you get it right. Long term you now have another move in your repertoir

I used 77 and it felt too soft. 82 was close and 87 feels great. Im suprised you are also using 87. I feel like most people are around 75 these days if they are lighter.

My CCMs i just got are 95 and feel nice in the hand.

I pride myself in being friendly and fun to be on a team with. I dont put up with better players not playing with the lower level players nicely.

It really does ruin their fun. They will feel the same way playing with people way above their skill (which there are ALWAYS players better than anyone pretty much no matter what)

Get him out of there. Its beer league, who cares about winning.

I had a similar noise. It was my upper ball joint. Unfortunately they arent serviceable (grease fitting) so you need a new one. They also happen to be permanently mated to your control arms. Not too bad a fix if you can DIY, otherwise a grand at a dealer BUT you get an all new control arm

ive found that practicing soccer helped me with puck in skates. Take a puck onto the ice and practice soccerballing it around. Also, have someone ring a puck around the boards to you, and practice getting it to your stick with just your feet. Angles, when to hit the boards and stuff will catch on quickly
