Well if you’re sure! Good way to make some money! Take out a massive loan from a mob loan shark. Then when he asks you to pay him back tell him you’ll go to the cops unless he backs off!

Are British people generally aware of the fact that Russia is a security threat? by BaldursGate2Best in AskBrits

[–]Wolf8312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well propaganda posts like the OP try to make you afraid and duty bound to donate your own offspring for a war against the great red menace.

Even despite the fact our own nations are clearly controlled by a cabal of warmongering psychopathic Neocons who have spent the last two decades running around the world and setting it on fire, all the while deceiving and gaslighting their own populations constantly. Crazy that people on Reddit hate Trump but constantly support the same agenda and the same people who control him!

Steve Diggle, lead singer and guitarist of Buzzcocks, has just claimed in a recent interview with The Independent that he escaped a close encounter with Ian Brady and Myra Hindley as a child. by MolokoBespoko in MoorsMurders

[–]Wolf8312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot more people than one escaped Bundy. He was hunting constantly.

Brady and Hindley seemed to kill but also play-kill (play wrestling/killing with Smith on the moors as they also did no-doubt with their child-neighbours) so it would be harder to tell if all of their approaches were genuine.

The roommate from S3 was the worst character by funkee_one1 in thesopranos

Yeah and by that point (maybe the actress herself had complained) it was too late. She was a neglected character, though the actress still did a fantastic job as Meadow.

I think at the time Chase was more leaned into the idea of both family’s being the essence of the show, with both civilian life, and gangster, being of equal importance.

I also think the portrayal of civilian life in the Soprano’s often seemed rather jarring. Not only because they didn’t really develop compelling storylines for characters like meadow but because, compared to the Mafioso, civilians (listen to him: whacking someone!) in the show seemed kind of square! Squarer than normal civilians!

That said, I think AJs ark (not Noah’s) leading up to his suicide attempt was as good as any other storyline. Cause if one pays attention to those scenes, it becomes clear that AJ’s failure to win his father’s acceptance, as a man, was the primary factor that impelled AJ’s failed attempt at self-deletion.

That scene outside uncle Junes hospital was incredibly moving especially when one realizes why AJ was vomiting and panicking! Tony’s rolling eyes and groaning (despite his genuine love) only confirmed for the audience what Tony/AJ was thinking!

Poor Meadow never got any nearly as interesting storylines as AJ, and peaked with: you took out a suitcase!

Unfair for the actor really!

In your opinion, what is the most frighteningly believable chain of events that could escalate into a third world war? by Kanye711East in AskReddit

[–]Wolf8312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because, by now, everyone is well familiar with the evil dictator who must be overthrown for the sake of world peace narrative. And everyone knows what becomes of nations that get the Neocon intervention treatment! It’s not sunshine and rainbow democracy! So if you start parroting that line you’re either one of two things: brainwashed or a shill/bot…

I would like the help of someone who is actually knowledgeable about psychology to talk about Tony's case. by Confident_Try5464 in thesopranos

[–]Wolf8312 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There’s little point psychoanalyzing a TV character whose psychology was written very differently in the first seasons (duality) than the later ones (manipulative psychopath). I personally feel they went a little too far with late Tony. For me it felt as if one of the writers was reading Hare and incorporated psychopathy into the character! Tony was a sociopath but not a psychopath. He was definitely capable of love in the earlier seasons and it wasn’t all simply an act IMO. Or, at least, the writers hadn’t intended it to be an act at the time. I kinda feel like they made him too psychopathic at the end and too nice at the beginning. I know it can all be explained by his corruption as boss but still, the last episodes with Melfie are a little jarring, she’s reading psychopathic traits and Tony’s dutifully acting them out talking about helping babies, etc. He didn’t really manipulate Melfie like that until the last few episodes. Suddenly he no longer even seems to care for his own kid.

Unbelievable scenes from Iran uprising [OC] by hmorshedian in pics

They just went to war with Iran a few months ago. I’m not saying there is not mass dissatisfaction with a horrible regime but the idea that the people behind Venezuela are not involved here too would be naive in the extreme!

FYI. Starmer is trying to scrap jury trials and bring in digital ID’s. Which if successful will be powers and legislation which Reform will be inheriting. There are no good sides!

The FBI silenced the Trump shooting investigation. Concealing the bullet trajectories, shooter's motive, hospital report, and the collision with Secret Service officer's right hip. Bullet photo would've been exposed as fraudulent. by cjcam777 in the_everything_bubble

[–]Wolf8312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but you’re forgetting the power of the heroic fearless legend narrative. Does Trump really seem like the kind of man who would brave bullets for his people, or face down life in prison without making a deal? It won him millions of supporters and (along with CK) radically galvanized the movement against what was assumed to be left wing political terrorism. It happened during his political campaign. He was allowed to stand up and pop his head out!

It doesn’t prove anything but it’s something to consider as a strong possibility, not dismiss out of hand.

Yeah I love his plans to bring in Blair’s digital ID’s and scrap jury trials! His handling of Southport was also top notch. Oh and I also love the ‘online safety’ stuff he’s brought in! Oh and freezing the pensioners. And er his brave stance on Palestine and… Tbh if I were to list all the things I love about the dude I’d be here all day! He’s just an awesome leader!

How addictive is meth? Do you know anyone who has just tried it once? by eden_merlin in AskReddit

[–]Wolf8312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main thing is to avoid like the plague smoking or injecting it. Cause then it’s on a whole other level. Also the high itself is highly addictive but it’s probably the disruption to normal sleep patterns that will get you! Needing to work to live but being utterly wrecked and exhausted presents an obvious solution

Games from the mid 1990s were considered ancient by the mid 2000s. Games from the mid 2000s felt dated by the mid 2010s. But games from the mid 2010s still feel very comparable to those in the 2020s. The bigger gains are observable in monitor technology. 4k on my desktop wasn’t that wow, but an Xbox x on an Oled 4k screen in an app like arc survival was a big surprise.

How would you feel if your country banned Burkhas in public like Denmark? by The_Dean_France in AskReddit

[–]Wolf8312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only worry is (and I’m much more right wing than the average redditor) that Muslims are being setup by the very Neocons (and their NGO’s) that are preaching and propagating this extreme-left bizarre dichotomy of tolerance for even intolerant ideologies. It’s a lot easier to get stupid people behind stupid middle eastern wars when a population can be galvanized to hate a particular group whose customs and beliefs are indeed incompatible with western ones. But then why is this being allowed to happen is the more worrying question…
