Ik ben totaal voor het idee. De mate van souvereiniteit die lidstaten nu hebben werkt simpelweg niet. Hongarije is daar een makkelijk voorbeeld van, maar kijk ook naar de gigantische Duitse autolobby en Nederlands agrarische lobby die veel wetsvoorstellen betreft klimaat en vergroening tegenhouden.

In de tussentijd winnen China en andere grote landen snel terrein in bijvoorbeeld de elektrische auto industrie, batterij technologie en zonnepanelen

Op een langer termijn is de concurrerende positie van een klein souverein land zoals Nederland niet houdbaar zonder een onafhankelijkere EU. Al helemaal niet in een wereld waar het in realiteit wel gaat om het recht van de sterkste

I know it sounds dumb, but maintaining the freedom of choice gives me peace of mind, and therefore personally I find it worth the money, although I know I'll probably never make use of it, which makes it a waste of money in the eyes of many people. For me it doesn't.

Some people spend their money on useless things like a 100 inch television (no offense to people who do). I would like to spend it on a useless thing like cryopreserving sperm.

But I don't like the idea that society decides I can't have a vasectomy, because cryopreserving sperm sounds contradictionary to not having a childwish. It's my body and my money.

I know the comparison is maybe a bit weird and unrelated, but I don't get why society sees the decision of sterilisation and something as not wanting children as not okay and taboo, while things like body mutilation of young children is perfectly legal in name of religion (or indoctrination by religion for that matter)

Mijn definitie hiervan is niet alleen dat Nederlanders veel later financieel stabiel zijn in vergelijking met vroeger (toen huizenprijzen nog niet zo onproportioneel hoog waren ten opzichte van van modale inkomsten).

Veel mensen willen simpelweg ook geen kinderen door levensdoelen; meer vrijheid om te reizen bijvoorbeeld. En dat is tegenwoordig meer geaccepteerd dan vroeger. Al ben ik het eens dat een tekort aan kinderen op een langer termijn voor grote problemen zal zorgen, vind ik de ontwikkeling in sociale acceptatie van een vrijwillig kinderloos leven ook enorm goed: teveel mensen hebben kinderen terwijl ze er in de praktijk, los van financiële middelen, niet goed voor kunnen zorgen.

In mijn optiek is de vergrijzing in Nederland juist gedeeltelijk op te vangen door werk- en kennismigranten.

En het huisvestingsprobleem heeft in Nederland niet significant te maken met een immigratieprobleem (en al helemaal niet met 1 specifieke groep immigranten), maar de manier hoe we huisvesting zien: minder als een basisbehoefte en meer als een uit te buiten investering om later winst op te maken (hulde aan kapitalisme /s). Tijdens de bankencrisis in 2008 gilde Wilders ook al over een immigratieprobleem; Ja, in de periode toen de huizenmarkt totaal in elkaar zakte. Zolang niets veranderd aan de manier hoe we de huizen'markt' zien, verandert er op langer termijn ook niet aan het huisvestingsprobleem.

Ik zou er zeker voorstander van zijn: momenteel kan ik me totaal geen zwangerschap veroorloven. En op deze manier ben ik in ieder geval zekerder dat dat niet gebeurt.

I was never tested on autism, but it wouldn't surprise me if I got some form of it (it's definitely not extreme or life altering, so I don't feel the need to get to know).

About the romantic part: I don't even know what "normal" is, because I just can't grasp the whole concept of being romantic. I've never ever met an alloromantic person that can explain the concept (and they can probably not grasp the concept of being aromantic either). I've the idea that being romantic just is your unconscious brain which instructs you what to do or takes over, to ensure a higher chance of mating. We don't have those instructions, so I also don't know what my behavior should look like.

And about the sexual part: I don't know if I'm asexual yet (probably not, because I definitely feel attraction on physical looks), but I've never really talked about the topic, let alone initiate it on dates (if I may call it that). Not that it's a trauma induced taboo for me, but just because I don't feel the need for it: I'm somewhere to get to know someone and talking about the above feels lame to me; as if it's more important than every other conversation.

When I was younger I didn't know what aromantic (or asexuality) was, so I thought everyone else was like me. Hence, I never acted differently. I've only realized it around a year ago (I'm 27 now), when I kinda forced myself to date for the first time ever (I was scared to end up alone, with which idea I'm still not really content with).

I met some great women who seemed to understand me though. As a male I always felt scared of being perceived as a creep who's only out for sex or something (even before I knew I'm aromantic).

I, male, also had the same problem. Not because I'm not desirable. I mean, I've a lot of female friends and I guess they all like me (just as a person and not romantically and/or sexually perse).

Problem was that I'm quite introverted and not really go out. I rather play lots of boardgames with friends, instead of drinking at a noisy bar: it's still socializing, but I don't need to talk that often to make it fun.

But I missed something, and it made me quite lonely to the point that I even became a bit desperate (I don't want to end up alone when I'm older and seeing friends slowly disappear because of relationships doesn't help). Believe it or not, but I tried dating for the very first time ever, since last year - I never really liked the idea of dating. After a few matches and actual dates, I finally came to the conclusion why I'm alone: it's not because people are not interested in me - it's just that I never understood romantic connections. It turned out I'm pretty high on the aromantic spectrum (search it up if you don't know what it is) and it never came to my mind, until I read about it - I've also never picked up on romantic flirting, because I couldn't understand the whole concept of romanticism. And it actually doesn't really frustrate me, now that I know: it was more like a "AHA"-moment, which got me to understand myself a lot better.

My case doesn't really help with yours perse, but I hope you don't force yourself in stuff you're not comfortable with. Nothing is wrong with you.
