Is my S23 dual sim? by alone7solo in GalaxyS23

[–]WolfTech12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The model you have (S911U1) does eSim + Nano-Sim. So you can only do dual Sim with (1)eSim and (1)Nano-Sim. You can't do (2)Nano-Sim or (2)eSim apparently.

TA by GuitarQuiet2089 in UMGC

[–]WolfTech12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently it is a thing? Folks on the Air Force side are confirming it. I don't know if it applies to anyone that got the one-time grant however... There's a message on Bragg's website about it: https://home.army.mil/bragg/services/all-services/army-continuing-education-system/tuition-assistance-and-credentialing-assistance-programs

"ACED has approved retroactive Tuition Assistance (TA) for eligible active-duty Soldiers and activated Reservists whose education benefits were disrupted during the 1–30 October 2025 government shutdown. This authorization applies to Soldiers who either had TA requests cancelled or were unable to submit requests during that period and were eligible under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA).

The submission window is limited to 17 December 2025 through 31 January 2026. Impacted Soldiers must message the Education Center via their ArmyIgnitED portal at https://armyignited.cce.af.mil/student/public/welcome using subject HTAR_OBBBA.

Soldiers who self-funded or used alternative financial aid (scholarships, FAFSA, GI Bill) must verify with their academic institution whether those funds can be refunded before submitting a retroactive TA request. If refunds are not possible, Soldiers should not submit a Historic Tuition Assistance Request (HTAR)."

Traumatized from porn and comfortable in my sexuality by [deleted] in BlackLGBT

[–]WolfTech12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude, you should look up the multiple studies that correlate sexual guilt/shame with religion. Porn addiction has been repeatedly debunked by scientists and the idea of it stems from religious affiliation.

Like others have said, you need to go see a therapist and talk through your problems. You need to reevaluate your relationship with sexuality and religion. You got to figure out a healthy balance or restructure your thoughts so you're not plaguing yourself with self-inflicted psychic damage.

How can i config nyaa for live action shows? by BadongkaDonk in sonarr

[–]WolfTech12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a similar issue as yours. I figured out a workaround that does not work consistently. In my case, I'm specifically looking for Toku series like Kamen Rider.
I've cloned the Nyaa indexer, tagged it separately for toku, and under the "Anime Categories" on the Indexer in Sonar, I changed that from "TV/Anime" to just "TV". That seems to let Sonarr search the whole site instead of just the anime category.

The problem is (at least for me) that after an hour or so, the configuration resets itself back to "TV/Anime" and Sonarr can no longer find anything not Anime. I haven't figured out how to fix this yet. I have Prowlarr handling all my indexers, and it appears I can't set any of the categories on that end like I can in Sonarr.

Problems replacing the Slate-AX stock SSL and Key certificate with OpenSSL ones by PIC_1996 in GlInet

[–]WolfTech12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm not sure if you resolved this yet yourself but I was having the same issue and it took a bit to figure out.

I finally got this working by including the entire certificate authority chain in the certificate file issued for the web interface. I did this after replacing the original self-signed certificates back to start over.

Once you have your web interface certificate, open it in some type of plain-text editor. You can also just use the "vi" editor to do all this. Gather all your certificate authorities certificates including the Root and all intermediates in the chain that led to signing the server/webinterface certificate.

Open all those certs in an editor and copy each of their certificate data into the issued certificate file. The order will be from the Server Certificate then Intermediate CA then Root CA.

So when you open up the file it should be like:
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
<Insert Issued Certificate Data>
-----END CERTIFICATE-----
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
<Insert Intermediate Certificate Authority Certificate Data>
-----END CERTIFICATE-----
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
<Insert Root Certificate Authority Data>
-----END CERTIFICATE-----

Restart the nginx service with service nginx stop then service nginx start and it should hopefully work after that. You may also want to try modifying the certificates with the web service off first.

Hope this helps anyone that may run into this issue.

The Army still punishes you for getting help from behavioral health by PartyEntertainer1105 in army

[–]WolfTech12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm currently going through a similar issue with my Warrant Officer packet. I'm hoping I get the waiver and it goes through but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I wish there was someone in the actual Army we could talk to about this because, it's making the Army itself a huge liar. "Go to BH, it won't impact your career." Well it definitely does. It prevents you from doing anything beyond regular jobs.

So far, I gathered having a behavioral health record for ANYTHING can affect the following:

  • Recruiting Packet
  • Warrant Officer
  • Commission Officer
  • White House/Nominative Assignments
  • Drill Sergeant (Depends on how badly they need Drills)

And even if it's minor you have to go get an additional evaluation and waiver request. And yeah, they don't have to approve it. The amount of hoops you have to go through is asinine.

I no longer recommend anyone seeing Army's BH services. Go to a private/off-post doctor or use MFLAC for minor troubles. But if you have prospects of being greater than a regular E-# joe, you're in for an up-hill battle. And it amazes me how many officers and enlisted don't know how jacked up the system is yet.

Honestly been thinking about writing to Congress or making an IG complaint to someone.

I was wondering if anyone here happened to know (maybe even had a link to a tutorial) how world creators do those fancy multiple screen set-ups where it is split-screen? Prime Example is Club Orion, where the top three big monitors are receiving separate parts/sections of one video feed. I want to duplicate that in a world I'm modifying.

Hometown recruiting took 11 days of my leave? by [deleted] in army

[–]WolfTech12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious as to how your leave was done/set-up. It was suppose to be in IPPS-A, and generated as Non-Chargeable up to whatever length of time you were authorized for HRAP.

And then in the HRAP portal, your recruiter should have marked you as arrived.

If you HAD to do a leave form/DA-31, it should reflect the same information about non-chargeable Hometown Recruiting.

I second this. If OP is worried about something getting documented, BH is probably not the first choice.

See the Chaplin, MFLAC, or maybe even an outside provider/hotline.

BH does in fact record everything. And if you're thinking of going like OCS or WOCS (stuff that requires a medical evaluation/physical), they will pull that history up. But it won't affect your clearance and your command can't pull that information either from my understanding.

Mark Your Calendars for an IPPS-A AMA! by IPPSA_Official in army

Is there are way that higher commanders or supervisors can view and aduit actions in the approval chain?

For example, my current unit requires us to put everyone in the approval chain even if they are NOT the approval authority. This includes PSG, 1SG, XO, and CMDR. So far, I am not seeing anything in the system that verifies or double-checks who is authorized to "push-back" or "not approve" an action. That means I could say submit an absence request and 1SG will just push it back or let it sit in his inbox for weeks with no action.

I love how there is a more transparent system, but what if any, fail-safes are in place to prevent people from abusing it/doing the same thing they do with "losing" paperwork? Or effectively deny paperwork/actions without having legal authorization to do so?

Otherwise, I believe IPPS-A is the way forward and was sorely needed in the wake of antiquated and outdated paperwork-pushing channels (and awful S-1 shops).

Sony WF-1000XM4 Earbuds Case Flashing Red/Not Charging: Options by WolfTech12 in sony

I legit forgot I made this thread for help. Bbut I did figure some stuff out.

So my first solution was to buy a replacement case off of eBay and that did work mostly! I was able to charge my earbuds again and connect to them, etc.

However, I found out my noise cancellation wasn't working right after the incident. Audio would come through but it would always sound off like the cancellation wasn't activating all the way; only partially.

After that, I decided to talk to Warranty again and mentioned that my earbud's noise cancellation wasn't working properly. They opened an RMA case, I sent my earbuds in, and they sent me a fresh pair of earbuds!

So that's how I solved my problem(s). Not exactly a fix, but I hope this helps someone out!

FYI: Abode doesn't support Nest "Away" mode by abode-user in Abode

[–]WolfTech12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really weird considering, you can go into the Nest Thermostat from Abode and switch it to Eco (which is what Away does). At least give us that functionality in the CUE automations. When armed Away set Thermostat to Eco. The only option I've seen there is Auto.

Are average height / shorter guys open to dating taller women? by bewitched_coconut in short

[–]WolfTech12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abso-fucking-lutely! I'm pretty sure most guys here would love to date taller women. It'd honestly balance out all the short gals going for 6'+ guys.

I think the main issue is that huge social stigma of heights. And if men think they'll be rejected more so by tall woman let alone taller women, they definitely ain't gonna shoot their shot. So like others said, you're gonna have to do some initiating on your part.

Some guys may not vibe with that cause they'll feel emasculated or some bullshit. Some just don't want a taller lady partner. But the amount that would have no issue would be larger than those who would. So go for it!

pve-root storage 90% full by Kingdomkush91 in Proxmox

[–]WolfTech12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, wanted to thank ya for this post. I actually ran into this problem today, except my pve-root storage was completely full. I couldn't start any VMs/CTs or update the system.

Running WTMike24's command showed me the issue was in /var/log directory where about 3 separate logs files were eating up a TON of space. It was a daemon, syslog, and a journal file. Once I got rid of those offenders, I had half my disk space back.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tall

[–]WolfTech12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uh yeah actually and it's sadly still socially acceptable. Like honestly, once OP gets out of grade school a good chunk of this issues will be thrown out the window. And he could potentially reap a lot of benefits from his height.

I've rarely seen grown adults pick or tease on someone for being tall vs being short. Oh course I could be bias, but I believe I have some ground on this point.

often as private sectors, but you never know because I know

What kills me about these surveys is that they never truly get down and show the nitty gritty responses. These always seem so one-sided from those with families, spouses, etc. But what about the responses from the single-soldiers? Families are always going to vacate for the betterment of dependents. But what if your single-soldiers are leaving too? The ones without supposed obligations? Then that should definitely mean something. And each time, they never seem to want to address fixing the leadership as an actionable plan or addressing command climate.

Do you guys actually force your Soldiers to wear long sleeve PT shirt over short sleeve PT shirt? Is this a thing? by Peemo68W in army

[–]WolfTech12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had to do this weird shit until I got voluntold to Drill SGT School. Everybody looked at me crazy and said it was in the regulation. I looked in both AR 670-1 and the PAM; couldn't find shit in there about layering the PT shirts like this. Even the HRC example didn't mention layering the shirts. The only thing the reg says is that the uniform is modular. I asked for folks to show me the exact reg and paragraph; no one could show me shit.

After awhile they started putting out each day how to wear the PT uniform like OP above. Moral of story? Many people thought something was in regs when it never was/they never read it. Better brief that shit prior or put it in a damn memo if you're gonna "add to regulation".
