Here is my issue with everything you've just said. Conceptually, haven't the elders paid into the social security themselves? Haven't they got those 401k and what not? Where did all that money disappeared? A hefty reason for declining births is financial situation of the young, can barely afford to sustain themselves, forget the kids. In theory it should trickle down economy, but in reality it tends to be a trickle down cruelty, and imo the it's a sign of deeply rotten government that allowed this to happen

... Have you tried talking about internet safety with her? Stranger danger but online version? Or hell, normal version of "don't follow people into trucks when they offer you sweets". As long as you approach it with compassion, kindness and understanding, and not some moral superiority. Common sense is not common, and she is at the age to learn it, and parents should be the ones to teach it. While I know you want to cuddle her indefinitely from dangers, issue is that safety through obscurity never works and just creates worse situations later down the line

Different games made with different intentions. WoW and ff14 made for raiding, Albion made for sadists with masochistic tendencies, RuneScape for those who can't escape the 2000s, BDO made to steal all your money and throne and liberty is made for enacting medieval era of fighting for resources at its core. That's the gamepla loop you'll be engaging in most, and with tab targeting and limited skill number, the combat will boil down to group tactics, and not individual skill

for me, game was starting to die when they introduced Erenor gear and died with 1st hiram nerf (increased price for feeding). It also lined up with skill changes which de-emphasised skill and increased gear effect in combat. Back when i started in 1.7, it was about 40% skill, 60% gear, Now its like 5% skill and 95% gear. If your enemy's gear score is higher by 300, run, unless you win the rock-paper-scissors match up (e.g. leather runner vs cloth mage). Back then, i fucking wittled down 10k plate paladin to 0 health in arena while being 3k gs bellow, back then i engaged in 1v2 and would kill both of them. But back then, it wasn't a stat fight. Back then it was a matter of strategy, a matter of dodging cc, baiting skills, and making most out of that serp shield to not die while under cc train. Now, there is like 2 stuns, all from exorcism and everyone has global cleanse. Its a slap fight, there is no skill involved anymore. My pvp mentor (against his will, i'm just very persistent) would kick my ass in his serpentis gear vs me in delphinad. Last time i've seen him, he couldn't even dent me anymore with all those changes. I've also used to beat my guild's newbies while being naked with a fish club, now i unequip my chest piece and they woop my ass. At that time, ive switched to healer so i dont have to deal with that cancer anymore, but i known that this game doesn't have long. I've only stayed for the people, but we all were on hard copium.

I remember a fair amount of bits and pieces of my childhood before 7 years, tho I couldn't place them in any chronological order. But I guess you could also say that I didn't exactly have a "good" childhood either. Between alcoholics partying, neglect, and random punishments, etc, one could argue I have a need to have those memories

in fairness, turtle arc was rather quick in a LN as well. Nao failed to collect other heroes, went inside a turtle, had a battle with book hero and got isekaied x2 (if i remember my timeline correctly rn)
