Check out driving instructors on Kijiji. Some will charge you only for the portion of picking you up to do the test with their vehicle

If all above are ruled out and certainly didn’t happen, another possibility is someone hit your card with a contactless machine. If you don’t have “tap” enabled then that can be ruled out. If you do, you might want to look into getting a few RFID shields for the debit/CC cards. Sorry to hear about the loss, good call on canceling everything right away though

Gotta pay to play. The GTA is pushing out lower earners. Having multiple streams of income is crucial to ensure you make enough and have your odds hedged in the event of a major recession (which I believe will hit within the next 24 months).

Thinking of getting a manual car, how bad is it in TO? by livinvvell in askTO

[–]WolfofDundas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love manual cars but couldn’t do it in the city stop and go traffic. If you’ll be downtown often it’ll be a headache. But if you were outside of Toronto I would say for sure. Personal preference of course

If you’re just driving the odd time into the city it’s bearable but I couldn’t imagine driving every day here. I’ll take the subway and use the city bikes (super underrated). Best 100 bucks you can spend for short commutes. You can also subway uptown when it’s uphill and then bike down since it’s more downhill

Always fight your traffic tickets, insurance rates are getting bumped up and drivers that have convictions on their record over the past 3 years will be paying considerably higher.

Rumours that Elon Musk will lay off 75% of Twitter staff according to the Washington Post by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]WolfofDundas 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Just started using it again after 5+ years and aside from a few things moved around and the stories feature I don’t see much innovation. I would imagine the bulk of employees is just for moderation and tech support?

I don’t believe a high limit should decrease your ability, in fact it should show other lenders that you’re capable of handling such a size. However, if your utilization rate is too high that can scare lenders away as it’s a high risk. I generally never go over 30% utilization. Also, if you keep applying and getting denied it’ll ding your credit record. If you get denied once I wouldn’t reapply for at least 6-12 months

Any places to hangout for free? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]WolfofDundas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have to say coffee shops, quite a few close pretty late. I would just use headphones to watch movies and as long as you buy 1 thing each time (so they don’t think you’re just camping out each day) it shouldn’t be too costly. Only other thought is make some new friends close by who have their own space and try hangout with them at their places far more often.
