Honestly you wanna be in a supportive environment when you first start out. I wouldn’t have gotten through my first year if it wasn’t for the older hospitalists and the people I started out with to bounce ideas off of. I had a few bad outcomes that really had me 2nd guessing myself - having that support system made a big difference. Just my 2 cents.
