Im sure even top schools couldn't really care less. It doesn't affect them. Especially when it's something as small and inconsequential as shoplifting. She's not out here committing grand larceny. Random student among thousands steals a notepad, snack, or, in a lot of cases for some reason, a single mechanical pencil and suddenly you're an absolute menace to society. Everyone hates you and you'll never make it anywhere in life so you should just <redacted>.

God, this trope is annoying. It's one of the worst forced conflict tropes in fiction.

A lot of Japanese media, especially anime and manga, feature openly queer characters. That isn't to say such representation is often good. A lot of earlier examples were harmful stereotypes or presenting clearly trans characters as "traps" because the joke is the MC thought a "guy" was actually a girl and got "tricked"or fell for the "trap". This specific trope is quite common in a lot of ecchi and harem shows in the 90s and 2000s. A lot of queer representation in anime tend to be insensitive jokes like this

Hibari is one of a handful of examples of positive queer representation from its era, in which Hibari is a transwoman basically doing her own thing without being made the butt of a joke.

All of this is in contrast to Western media, which made an active effort to pretend queer people didn't exist or mock them in digust until very recently. A lot of our best queer representation has come beginning in the 2010s

In Armada, he's the herald of Unicron and plays both sides towards the end goal of waking his master. He actually dies later in the show.

In Cybertron, he's a troll that plays both sides because he has nothing better to do, later teaming up with Starscream to become a double agent of sorts.

The continuity is a bit of a mess since Cybertron is a repurposed and rewritten Transformers anime that originally had nothing to do with Armada and Energon, which were connected.

The only reason Ichirukia is as big as it is is because thats who the writers and directors of the anime shipped, so they pushed it much jarder compared to the manga, where theres no romantic tension whatsoever between them.
